I have a comptech 4-2-1 one piece that was made for a 94+ Integra that might be good for hacking up and playing with. It’s got a dent lower down on one of the primaries but it can probably be pulled back into shape. I wouldn’t want much for it and would probably rather just trade you for some parts off your donor car.
Let me know if you’re interested at all.
Also, I guess this is “common knowledge” but I didn’t realize it until I actually bought one and looked it up but the 92-93 GS-R didn’t even have that piece that goes from front to back between the front two crossmembers.
I’m thinking about it. Just let me know what parts your interested in. And what are the specs on that header, I mostly want to kno the flange size. If u have a pic of the header.I’d like to see its condition. thanks
Next time I go work on the car I’ll grab a picture of the header for you. I don’t know primary and secondary sizes but the design is from the 90s so the outlet (inner) diameter is only 2 inches. I guess at one point Comptech may have had a hytech replica? This isn’t that one. Just a run of the mill 94+ Integra header with a big dent in the primary. As far as condition, it had header wrap on it so it isn’t pretty but it isn’t all rusty and gross either.
As far as parts I would be interested in, if the donor is pretty rust-free I could use some cleaner trailing arms and rear brake calipers if they are still the nissin ones. Although I’m not sure if you were trying to keep the donor car a rolling chassis or not. That trade would also cheat you a little bit as I think you can sell the rear trailing arms as “civic rear disc conversion” on craigslist for $100 or more and the header isn’t worth that. I will also eventually need a new black coin pocket and clock for my GS-R as I am an idiot and chipped both while removing my dash but you may be using the black dash…
Did you get anything done over the weekend?
The car needs to stay rolling because its not at my house. I don’t have the black coin pocket but I have one that was painted black. And you can definitely have the clock. Anything else?
As far as what I got done this weekend all I got done was installing the brake master cylinder with my homemade booster delete. Im still waiting on financial aid so I can order a 94+ shifter and couple other goodies
btw I’m leaving the country on thursday so I probably won’t any updates till atleast monday.
heres the pic of the booster delete
i may redo the brake lines coming out of the master cylinder. i dont like how they stick forward at the bottom, id rather run them along the side of the master cylinder and then straight down against the firewall… oh well, its ok for now cuz i just need this thing running soon.
Back in town and buying some more parts.
hopefully getting the engine in this weekend. I decided to just get a megan header and just modify the studs on the middle flange. Can’t wait to get it all done.
Crap. I never got you pictures. My bad.
Its cool. I decided that I want this done asap and I have no time to make a proper custom header…
Good news: Just got my new rear view mirror, installed it and started wiring the AEM wide band. Some pics later
Now I’m waiting on parts again. Should be arriving wednesday, friday, and monday. I should have the engine mounted in the car tomorrow.
i whould like to buy those coz my da7 doesnt have rear disk brakes. lol da7 is lame but is still a da
the only prob is that you have to ship them to me and i am far away in cyprus. lol*
I cant sell those because i need to keep the car a rolling shell.
its ok dude no problem any 1 may know a place to get a rear brake conversion whith international shipng?
I would probably try looking in the FOR SALE FORUM instead of thread-jacking someone’s build thread.
Good news! I got the engine in the car yesterday, and i got the headers today.
Bad news though… when the transmission mount was welded in it was warped crooked a tiny bit. Its not by much but its enough to interfere with the mount that it mates with… :bang:
Lucky for me pulling it back out is only a 15 minute job.
Ok. I got the mount issue resolved.
I have all my parts in, now I just gotta find time to finnish the car. Right now I’m in my auto class, waiting for this day to end. I have class 930am to 930pm…
I now have the car running. only thing is apparently the intake manifold gasket is leaking causing it to hesitate on acceleration. i should have a b18b manifold today and install it tomorrow. Hopefully this is the last thing to do aside from paint and a new windshield.
Ugh… Body work is just ridiculous. The massive dent on the passenger rocker panel was the only big fix. The windshield and all window trim are off. I also removed every single piece that is detachable so they get painted individually.
