Today consisted of just wet sanding. I wet sanded then sprayed with primer then wet sanded again all the following parts individually: hood(inside and out), both doors(inside and out), the spoiler, gas cap, both fenders, rear bumper(took forever), door handles, side mirrors(completely taken apart), and rear filler panel. I’ll have pictures later tonight. monday I start wet sanding the body. Then paint.
I also worked on customer cars (maxima in pictures I’m gonna put up, and a saturn that dropped of parts)
Here are the pictures:
Block sanding the body
Took a break to go to publix and I got bored…
So much better with a manual shifter :gunleft::auto:
There is no windshield on the car
Side mirrors in pieces
All window trim removed
Is this all necessary? No but its my car and I want it perfect.
Im gonna be the only person in my family with actual paint on their car, even though its the oldest car.
I finished sanding the main body for my DA. Now everything is ready for paint. :ohyeah:
Paint!
getting the car taped up
Thats right! Real Flat Black. Looks beautiful in person. :inlove:
Hood, mirrors, door handles, fenders, bumpers, spoiler, and installing the windshield are all getting done tomorrow morning.
Nice!
Thanks man.
I’ve got everything on but the bumpers and hood. I should have it on the road tomorrow. I can’t wait.
Not done, but I was able to drive it to church and it drove wonderfully. Works much better than before.
Its still missing trim pieces and most of the dash… The glove box is still on the floor too.
did you paint it yourself?
Yes and no. I did all the prep work. My father inlaw was teaching me so I painted the engine bay myself, and some small parts, he did the rest. We are gonna redo some parts because the paint got contaminated, when we do paint them I’m gonna do it.
Well, now I need to get rid of left over parts… Time to make a for sale thread, everything needs to go!
SOUNDS GOOD! we have a bunch of guys down here that need stuff
Yup. I need a few days to finish picking what I’m gonna use before I do the f/s thread. But if you need something asap email me.
I gotta put some new pics up.
I’ve got a nearly complete dash now. I’ve driving around town with giant holes in it. Now I need to do the rear brakes cuz I have no pad left…
Nice work man hope to c you at the orlando meets.
R1
Definitely gonna be there. And sadly my radiator spring a leak as soon as I parked at my house, too close… :whew:
oh wow. finally found someone on here is doing the same thing as me. well kinda the oppisite of what i plan to do.
i have a 1992 auto integra as a donor but im swaping the motor and the whole ob1 harness over to my obd0 integra.
(reason why is that i dont want to cut my wires and i have future plans for other swaps)
i know that i need a obd1 ecu but does this means i need a MANUAL obd1 harness?
btw: Love the dedicationg of hard work your doing to that car.
Thanks man
All you need to do is keep the manual transmission parts of your harness and remove the auto stuff off the obd2 harness and you need a manual ecu. Or you can do it the easy way and use the all the auto wiring and jumper the neutral safety switch and some other stuff, there’s a write up on that.
F/S thread is up!
