BLKACK1's Build Thread

Today I got 4 of the 6 ES ball joint boots put on

now I just need my hubs cauff MRpenny cauff

working on your car and manage to take pictures of it as well, you kick ass man.

Thanks mang

Aaron at full race sent me some goddies today.:rockon:

HAHAHAHA, thats hilarius

the quality on this thing is amazing and comes with all new hardware to boot, expect install pics up later:read:

Youā€™ll love the Full Race Crossmember setup, except for getting the front mount in if you have the ES inserts. SUCKS!!!

Man, your not bullshitin. It was a pain in the ass:D

Pics of the progress. First off, tonight wrenching sesion was brought to you BY, guess who:)

old crossmember vs the new full race bar

New control arms in

I previusly removed the front crossmember last night in anticapation of my new traction bar so all that was left was to pull the 2 tow hooks

:cloud9:

to make the night even better, MRpenny brought over my front hubs, so tomarrow im taking them to have the inner races pulled off so I can clean them up and replace any studs that are mucked up and finish up the install by putting on the radius arms:rockon::rockon:

Nice suspension work bud. Looking sweet. Your back has to be getting sore from rolling all over the ground eh? Your full Race bar looks a bit different than mine. Did they change the design? Mine uses all four mounting points on the frame rail as well as the tow hook area.

Haha, no lift FTL! I keep saying we need some creepers, but I never get around to remembering . We were talking about the mounting points last night though, and I was under the impression that they utilized all 4 points, but I guess not. Definitely seems sturdy enough though. How long ago did you purchase your bar?

thanks dan, coming from the guru himself that means alot, im gonna give you a call tomarrow. I have a question about those brakelines. as far as laying on the ground go, it beats being hunched over and engine bay any day of the week IMO:angel:

Im also curius as to when you got yours, to my knowledge I thought it was always like that with 2 main bolts and the 6 tow hook bolts, but that makes me wonder about it now. Maybe ill send aaron a pm on h-t and see what he says about it. other wise im too worried about it.:read:

Did someone say creeper, Again:giggle:

today i took the wire wheel to my hubs. these are alot cleaner that they look in this picture

I also spray the first coat of paint on the wheels, they are lookin good:rockon:

I have one word for you man, ā€œRESPECTā€. Keep up good work bro!

Looked at my bar this morning and I stand corrected. My bar only utilizes the two rear frame rail mounting points. Itā€™s identicalā€¦ old age is getting to meā€¦ hehehe. Maybe I just need to get under my car more. :werd:

Big ups, Big ups:up:

CRS stikes again, I seem to be suffering from that quit a bit lately LOL. BTW I figgured out that problem I was having last night, but appreicate your imput on it.

Ive got a ton of updates for later tonight:corn:

Looking damn good man.
Iā€™m starting to get parts to over haul my suspension too.

awsome man, if you have any questions about taking anything apart. fell free to let me know, but its pretty self explainitory

So over the last 2 days I finished up the wheels using 3 cans of paint and 1 can of clear with lots of sanding with 1000 and 2000 grit sandpaper in between.

Finish product:rockon: now I just need to wait 7 days for the paint to cure and I can get the tires put on.

Also got the radius arms on and tourqed as well as the swaybar links

there was also a stud on one of the hubs thats threads where pretty mucked up, so I took the tap and cleaned it up and then decided to just clean them all along with all eight rotor screw threads

And I have to thank Jett07 for a little gift that was drop off at my door this morning, thanks Jeff:up:

Almost there:whew:

That wheel paint is about the only thing I like that Duplicolor makes.

Iā€™m actually picking up another set of stock suspension parts so get all powder coated and what not. Sometimes the car being a DD sucks.

good luck with the ES bushings, I decided to buy PIC hard rubber.

How did you shim up the CRX rack? Did you just do the CRX bushing inside Integra bushing thing? If you need a metal bushing to replace the rubber CRX bushing let me know. I have one left over from making mine. Gotta love lathe work.

Wow this is really coming along nicely. i hope one day to have the time to do this kinda work. Trying to get a new daily so I can start on my DA.

thanks man, I havent had a problem with them yet:cross:

I actualy used a new ef bushing inside of the ES DA bushing, however if you have an extra, I might just keep it around if I decide to redo it with a qualife kit down the line, so let me know how much and I would be happy to take it off of your hands

thanks mang, I hope my thread gives you some inspiration and motavation:D

Ive got a lot done in the last couple of day, just no access to my camera right now so Ill go more into the details of the progress made when I do:up:

Pictures dont do this car justice. Super sick build and very nice teg. Every time i go over there im inspired to build my teg! Cant wait to see this car on the road dude.

thanks man, any time you want to come over and pick up a wrench and help. Do that:D
