BLKACK1's Build Thread

Love the second pic glynn!

Pics look great Glynn! I like how nicely the city compliments your car xD

Honestly i can’t wait to see all those nice shiny parts installed. Like I said, my wife is aware of your build and I am down to pull a few all nighters or stay overs to help out. There, you have it in writing.

And those pushlocks are badass! Always fun to come over and play with your collection of boost and honda parts. Hehe

thanks for the kind words fellas.

Got a couple more parts from Greg @ Go-Autoworks. His customer service is over the top and i recommend his services to anyone that in need of them…

IAT flange to relocate the sensor into into the cold side intercooler piping.

12 inch slim fan

Hopefully the teggy will be going under the knife pretty soon so in the meanwhile, ive been trying to drive her as much as possible as long as the weather permits. while doing so ive been making a laundry list of little things to fix or finish while the car is down. ill post it up once ive finished it.

Picked up the rest of the weld-on fittings for the catch can, presure sensor and boost only source.

Fantastic looking build!

What fitting is that pictured above with the bracket on it?

Those new rotors you got are blingin.

how hard is it to install the SS brake lines? and are there instructions in the box on bench bleeding?

Thanks Greg, thats B&R b-series breather box/AN fitting. I thought I had posted that before but upon second thougt and looking back through my thread I now relize that I havent. It will serve 2 purposes for the catch can setup. A Breather port/drain back for the catch can while im keeping the boost low and just a block breather fitting when I put a purpose built motor in and really turn up the boost.
Thanks again man, glad to see you found my thread:up:

HAHA Not nearly as shiney as your engine bay :stuck_out_tongue:

The brake lines where by far the easiet portion of this setup. pretty basic. remove the mounting clip, unbolt, reinstall. if your waiting on a set, there should be more detail instructions. Just shoot me an email and ill go more into the bleeding process.

So Im waiting on Mr Penny right to go over some final details and im thinking with-in the week, old girl goes up on the jackstands and wont come back down till shes boosted :excite:

oh and on a side note. I got my G2IC hoodie and t shirt in today.

Car looks good man. I got my shirts in today too =]

which catch can will you be using?

the catch can will be custom. only thing I need left to buy for it is a sheet of aluminum and some steele wool.
Speaking of. look what I picked up for the breather setup today , A little bit of Bling:cool:

<<<— Waiting

:fingban:

^^^^^^^ This guy can wait!!

Thank you sir.

not big updates but its work done.

Started off with the hardest part of any project. knowing shes gonna be down for an unknown perior of time…

Pulled my sweet rice exhaust and header down. As you can see, I was actually leaking at just about every joint…

Future home of a full 3 inch exhaust

Cliped the wire pigtails of the stock fan and threw that big bulky thing in the trash.

Also removed the bumper and hood bra, nuespeed bar and drained the oil and collant.

Just for shits and :giggle:

And So it Begins

Been putting in some work this week. ever since I switched to a rs stearing wheel to get rid of the CC button my horn hasnt work. Finaly decided it was time to fix that… picked up a horn shoe and modded my old harness tonight.

Donor harness

finished harness

More Parts. weld in OP temp bung

Also pulled the front bumpers, seperated the skin from the support and made my first cut in order to make room for the intercooler.

Rough placement on the I/C. this should place it right behind the mouth in the bumper to ensure maximum airflow over the entire core area of the intercooler

First cut.

Thats it for this update. be back soon when I finish up the support and start working on the I/C mounts.

updates:::

Fastline performance weld in oil pan baffle came in yesterday.

Trimed up the bumper support some more.

Almost there. I still want to come up about a half inch to get it above the lower radiator support.
