just finished my setup and i seem to be having a problem. my bov doesn’t seem to be doing its job. the bov opens and closes with the throttle, but all i get is compressor surge. anyone have an idea on what the problem could be?
the bov is a turbosmart supersonic (the one with one flute). i tried putting it on the softest and the hardest and it doesn’t seem to change anything.
is the vacumn line in the right spot??

do you feel air coming out of it when its supposed to release the air? like when you close the thottle? the vacuum line is supposed to be connected post throttle body.
i have it plugged in the port directly in the middle of the intake manifold in the front. where theres that dashpot thingy on the obd0 engines. i feel no air come out it’s all compressor surge.
take the blow off valve apart and lube up the shaft with chainsaw oil or something. see if its getting stuck for some reason. push on the valve to see if it even opens.
the valve opens and closes no problem with the throttle. its only when i boost theres nothing that comes out. it opens, but it all goes out the turbo. its connected to the same line as my map sensor. so i know that the vacuum/boost source is good. maybe this bov just sucks i dunno.

on the cold side…where everyone else puts it. honestly i really have no idea why its doing this and im a mechanic… :dozing:
