Blow off valve

I just installed and turbo in my car, don’t know where to plug the vacuum in the Blowoff valve. Someone told me to hook it up behind the throttle and any vacuum would be good. Does anyone have a B18A1 and maybe show me in a picture where to hook it up?? thanks. Started the car and everything is running good turbo is spinning nicely, though theres white puffy smoke in the back. It doesn’t smell burned it smells clean, does anyone know what this mean???

Yes put the vacuum line in any vacuum line post TB. Most people hook it up to the FPR. And no idea about the white, but white usually is coolant/water. If it doesn’t smell, it might be condensation that needs to be burned off. My talon sat for a couple months and I started it up and it burned off the condensation for 15 minutes.

check your coolant level and the condition of the coolant. make sure it doesn’t look oily at all etc. as for vacuum. just tape a “T” in between the fuel puge solenoid and the FPR and you’re good to go :slight_smile:

On the back you your manifold, on the drivers side, you should find 2 small brass nipples with hoses on them already. T into one of those. I don’t know if you’d want to splice into the hose for the FPR for the BOV source. The BOV is going to changed the amount of vacuum in the hose which will have an effect on the FPR, that’s not good.

Here’s a pic. The nipple on the bottom I use for the FPR, the other one with the hose in it that runs out of the top of the pic goes to my BOV

Here’s the hose going to the BOV. I T it off for the boost gauge source.

What is a FPR?? What does it do? So you said that in the back theres 2 nipples and hook it up on the one in the right (if your facing driverside)??

FPR = Fuel Pressure Regulator.

Function:
Regulates the pressure in which fuel flows. :clap:

Thanks I wasn’t quite sure, so is it okay to just T it in the FPR?

I love it when people read :slight_smile:

Thanks for pointing that out
