-what you guys think about my set up it should be installed by march 24th let me know if u think im forgeting anything
-also what you think about the autometer procomp gauges

sounds pretty good. My turbo setup will be 2 months after yours. manily cause 1 month for block sleeving.

sounds like my setup

ditch that intercooler, sell it and get a JRC, youll be much happier, i had that intercooler and wished everday i got a JRC. and autometer makes good gauges for the $$ i would go with those.

What’s wrong with the precision intercooler?

im not gonna return the ic it looks like a good unit bar and plate

it looks nice and wide when its not on the car, but then you install it and it looks really tiny, then its 3" thick so it complicates things when installing it, and its heavy as shit, just because its “bar and plate” means nothing my JRC i have now is 50 times better looking and fitting, plus my intake manifold is cold to the touch after driving for a little bit, those precision intercoolers suck. but hey, if you want to run it go right ahead, im just wish someone told me these things before i put my kit on my car.

this is what your intercooler is going to look like http://www.g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142533

ya it is heavy but its allready been paid for so im gonna give it a wirl if its not cooling the air well enough i will have to consider another alternative.

ya how did u mount it im havin lil trouble looks like u bolted it to ur p/s brackets

that white car isnt mine, it was just to show you what it looks like…but does yours have two little flanges that stick out of the corners???..if so i drilled two holes in those, then made some L brackets, drilled holes in both sides of those, then bolted them to the intercooler and some already exisiting holes in the core supports. BUT that was a really TINY problem compared to all of the cutting/chopping/hacking i had to do to the bumper. with that intercooler you HAVE to cut out your grille! i didnt like that at all because your bumper is now shot, and if your on the highway following a truck and something kinda large gets kicked up your intercooler is toast, plus since that thing is so thick you have to chop the hell out of the bumper support, i recommend just cutting it in half, and cutting it just outside of where it bolts up to the frame, oh and to save you a shitload of time…mark where your going to cut the bumper support and bring it to a place that has a oxyacetylene(sp?) torch dont try and use a hacksaw or a sawzall, youll be there forever and use about 200 blades, been there done that. other than that you could save yourself all of this trouble and get a JRC and save your bumper and bolt it right up but thats my .02

i just grinded off the lip on the bumper supprt and welded it for ridgitiy and grinded it flat so the ic sits flat against my bumper support.

but your grille in the bumper is gone…

im with turbog2teg on this one, looks much better with the grille, plus why not protect the investment?

ya i know i guess i could put mesh or chicken wire oh well if i break it then i have a reason for the jrc

nice boost!

i am gonna use a jrc 6inch x30 cuz i didnt want endtanks showing:P!
