Hi, just a quick question. while im driving i can hear the turbo spooling up and around 6,000 rpm i hear what sounds like the bov leaking air. is it possable that the pressure is pushing it open? I know i can adjust it but i was just wondering if that can happen. im only running 5 psi right now with .42/.48 turbo and i have the rfl type H bov with 2 washers in. I could be wrong but just seening if anyone has had this problem.
i got mine off ebay and it sounds sick as shit. Turbo XS rfl. I had to cut the spring down a bit and put some electrical tape around the flange to make it seal (my aluminum welder warped the flange)
do u have the vac line on it? make sure u dont have the little nub on ur compressor housing in ur vac system
yes i have the vac line on it.
my buddy had a type RFL on his SRT4 running 15psi and after a few weeks he started having problems boosting and could only maintain 5psi. We found the blowoff valve to be leaking bad undex boost. We just hit it with a screwdriver to get the thing to reseat and it hasn’t leaked since.
putting washers in it??? if you took it appart u may have not placed the diapram back in correctly??
I also heard that the rfl is ment for like 12 psi or more.
