A little back ground on the car, Its a 1991 Integra Rs, 5speed bought it from some guy on CL he was asking 2,500 had 92k original miles, cold ac everything worked, was garage kept and had a notebook full of maintenance records. Finding any honda/acura with these things is rare nowadays so i contacted the guy immediately. Went to go look at the car had a new headunit and some pioneer speakers, the guy was old enough to be a grandpa so he knew almost everything about the car and was the 2nd owner. I haggled him down due to a small exhaust leak and got the whole car for 2k. not bad for a 92k original miles teggy. heres some pics from when i got it.
The car was clean all around, got it washed and waxed and just enjoy the stockness for a while. but then the mod bug bit and i need to get rid of the 4x4. As you can tell from the title it’s a slow build due to being in college and not having access to large funds at a time. My plan is to have a clean relaible daily driver with some tasteful goodies. I did some research on here and saw teggykid i believe who had the megan coil sleeves on his db1 and decided to go with this setup although i knew coli sleeves on stock shocks might not be the best so i went ahead and order tru hart sport shocks and threw those on with the megans. Overall ride is good not too stiff, not too flimsy. It’s nice for a DD, but ofcourse any lowered car does’nt feel like a stock set up LOL. here’s some pics before and after the drop
that thing is super clean… looks to be well maintained. What is gonna be first on the list? I have an RS as well and I love it, even the manual window cranks. any shots of the interior?
Where you get the hid’s from?
I got the HIDs from this place down here in south fl called JR electronics.
Will take some interior shots later, it’s dirty at the moment but i dug up some ones of my shifter.
I already got rid of the 4x4 setup so i guess suspension is my main focus and just maintenance. I plan to get LCA’s, camber kits, strut bars front and rear. But this will take time of course LOL. *plays lotto and loses
I have the same S3 shift knob (well it’s flat black with the star bomb) in my A4. Are the threads super sloppy on yours?
Yeah it didn’t line up perfect had to use some electric tape on the thread to get it to lined up correctly.
OKay this a noob question but how do you get the pics to upload i haven’t had a problem till now. it keeps saying Exceeds your quota by 94.4 KB or some shit when some pics go through and some don’t.
Interior shot before I got rid of the quick release and before shifter. Thanks red rocket lol:dance:
What deck is that? I’m thinking of just going with a single DIN for my GS-R and nothing has really jumped out at me yet.
it’s a dual detachable face. model number XDMA760 i believe. pretty nice looking to wire up some subs for it soon.
My favorite sticker lol. saving up for some wheels at the moment. but plan on doing tranny flush, oilchange, rad flush in the coming weeks.
Just ordered the Energy suspension shift bushings to go along with my no name SS because it wasn’t as tight as i would like it :hump:
nice
the no name short shifter kinda looked like shit so i bought a megan one off my buddy brand new in box. going to put it on friday along with my bushings and also do a transmission flush while im at it.
