What does everyone think?
Whether it be from ssauto or autodysanty … all the kits are under 1000$ cdn.
Even if i replace the parts needed to make it a good kit (turbo, bov)
I’ll get all the other smaller parts needed… including intercooler and pipes with all couplers etc… It seems like it would be cheaper to buy a kit and have all the needed parts. Or would it be cheaper to buy intercooler and piping seperate, plus all the other things ?
well if you’re gonna buy another turbo, bov, either apply new welds to the ssac or watever other mani or buy another mani, you’ll probably want another wastegate…then you’re paying a grand for a cheap knockoff intercooler and pipes? you make the decision
Yeah. Well for the 1000$ or wtv, its the intercooler piping, manifold (will have to be welded/braced) downpipe, the intercooler. Plus all vaccum hosing, gaskets and all other various little things.
I’ve seen it cheaper than 1000$ too… probably could see if for about 700$…
And even at that, the way I see it the bov, wg, and turbo could be used till they dont work, or if they just dont work than upgrade them.
im more than positive that you’ve heard people say do it right the first time. dont buy shit that will need to be replaced.
buddy still running very first SSauto turbo kit they made the WG flange broke off the manifold which was a common problem back on there first kits looks like they braced them now though, running 10psi strong on 94 civic hatch b18c1, for 800$, your call but in my eyes its much better then spending $3000.
so he’s running everything they sent him?.. it all still works good…
That’s the problem with one person saying they got a bad product, everyone hears about it, and then everyone tells everyone else its garbage.
Either way I think its worth the gamble.
I know word gets around fast, alot of people bash ebay products and when they hear a negative comment about one, Everyone starts bashing the product and talk like it happened to them. He’s still running everything they sent for the kit.
short4stuff: the cams in the picture have the vtec lobe in the center. I would imagine they are vtec cams. WHAT vtec cams they might be is a completely different question. (lift/duration on both the standard lobes and the vtec lobes)
I pieced together a kit and all supporting mods for less than 1300.
No ebay shit. Tae your time and do it right

those are Vtec cams, and weird one looks used.

yea to be honest Im not going to do the ebay kit either, my cars going into the shop next week for a complete turbo build.

Well after my buddy pulled apart his ebay kit, after about 6 monthes of use the turbo is trashed needs to be replaced, but other then that its still good.
