Can't spell Honda with out DA! (introduction/build)

All Genuine Honda fluids and a car wash!

^^notice the bronze hatch window? yes, thats the factory paint! #nofilters

as for the interior. not quite done yet…still havent found time to play with the secondary fan & cruise control switch…but yea, im glad the dash is finally back on…less clutter in the garage

Beautiful car and excellent build thread!! Keep up the good work. I went the same route with the xsi hatch, much cleaner IMO having the brake light on the wing, plus u did the wiper delete

Great build with an amazing progress!

@ Gravex3400 Thank you!! this rear hatch was a major come up. i couldnt believe i found a jdm one in my color! i just had to junk the rear wiper. i live in CA, hardly use it.

@Jeffaj20 Thank you sir!

First time driving my car to work! I even showed up 30 mins early because i couldnt wait to drive it haha, here are some pictures.

Love the car, and the swap :stuck_out_tongue:

But the bronze glass kind of sticks out being that the rest is USDM. Looks like a half-tinted vehicle heh.

drove to work without an air filter…balls lol…

proper!!

Really? to the untrained eye nobody really catches it. i only notice it when i look in my rear view

LOL, i clamped down a micro fiber cloth too it, it’s a temporary thing…
im debating either a AEM filter or Blox Velocity stack style filter. wouldn’t mind a K&N either

Thank you!!

I’m not saying it looks bad… just saying it doesn’t really match… I wouldn’t swap the hatch unless I was doing rear-quarters and doors as well.

Just one of those ‘personal preference’ things. I’m in no way trying to dog your car, sir

looks spiffy man…love it

I would suggest K&N, they are amazing filters. Plus you can go to any auto store, buy one of any sized preference and go. I bought a charge kit the other day after having mine for 3 months, I sprayed the cleaner on and started to wash and my mouth dropped at all the stuff and blackness that came off it. I sprayed new oil on it, let it dry and went for a drive… You thought your car was loud before? Just wait til you put one on when you feel and HEAR the growl of power sucking through that sucker! haha

Really fantastic filters. lol

Not offended at all, we all have our own opinion, i do plan on getting the side windows. it’s one of those things where i really want it, but not gonna do it until i have it all apart for paint…i consider myself very lucky to find a jdm hatch color matched to my car

Thanks bro!

i like the sound of that! local pick up ftw

You probably said it earlier in your thread but what axle did you use?? One of mine broke (ghetto setup) so I need new ones.

Thanks

My left/driver side is a passenger rsx axle with the inner joint swap from the driver side
My right/passenger side is a left/driver side 97-01 honda crv axle.
Im running Hasport mounts and Karcepts 36mm hubs.
I have a feeling my driver side axle is going to go out on me…still not satisfied with it

Why do you say you fear your driver side axle coming out? Do you feel it’s too short?

I don’t know about 36MM but I have been told that I only have to use RSX axle with swapped inners.

yea, thats what im going with, i still dont trust it. The outter joint is leaking grease from the big clamp (slowly). going to have this side re-sealed until i find a solution…

Just talking about your build today! Telling the tale of greatness that is this thread  sorry to hear about your axel issues. Have you considered something of a aftermarket maker, Im sure Marty at raxles could help out.

This build is so awesome. Nice job man. I feel like you had this together in record time too. Can you tell me what model coilovers you’re running?
