Well go dump your alternator in some water for a bit then go try it out and let me know how it works, if it still works just as it did before then I shall happily admit that I stand corrected.

hahaha. thats funny. so i’m assuming u’ve never tried washing ur alternator out. its not like a distributor. have u actually taken apart a distributor b4? like tested and rebuilt one? its not that hard. and its not hard to figure out why its not an issue. its called a rinse… not a bath.

car still doesnt run, now it wont even start just cranks. I have put new wires, cap, rotor, distributor on and i have spark, new fuel filter, new alternator, new tps , clean iacv and facv and im going to try a new map sensor. If this isnt it im not sure what else it could be? Any ides. I have spark and fuel pressure, and i have fuel to the rail but still nothing? Could it be my injectors or somethin? I need my toy to run its sad driving the beater civic:pupeyes:

so u replaced the mfr? and u have CONFIRMED that the fuel pump is priming right? and do u have the distributor on pretty close to properly timed? cuz if its retarded too much it will not start. cuz if u have spark, it doesn’t mean timing is right.

my bad on the correct name, i put the new map sensor in and it runs now with the help of me having my foot on the pedal, so im going to re time it and then get a new base map on it and see if that works.

first of all how did you check for spark and how did you check for fuel… the quickest way to check if its a fuel problem is to spray some carb cleaner to the intake… not too much… but if its a fuel problem then the car should start for a couple seconds and die. but it sounds more like a spark problem. it happened to my CRX a while ago. the small ignition module in the distributor was giving out and it did the same thing. car would start and then die till it finally gave up and just cranked… other than that check your compression… who knows… maybe the timing belt broke… if your boosting the piston wont hit the valves when the engine turns over.

ok well i got my car running, not great by any means but it run, i had the problem with the 2.5 motorola map and so i got that changed to a three bar map, and then i also had two wires from my resistor pack come undone. Now the only thing i cant do is get it to run right, she has a horrible basemap. Im not sure if thats the only thing thats wrong with it but she is able to be move around now which is a plus. Now can any of you help me out with a decent street tune that i can just burn. All i need is the bin. file i have the chip and burner to do all of that i just need help, with that part. If that doesnt help then, i have more searching to do.
