ok so i was searching through google for a carb legal turbo for the integra. well i found this http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/devices/amquery.php
it list pretty much everything that is carb legal. you can even check to see if your carb eo is legal.
ok the question, since they have that the GReddy kit is legal for our cars. i can not look at it now but when i was at school i saw that they listed the 90-01 integra as the b18b, and the gsr as 93-01, this was a few days ago, like i said i can not see it right now cause my comp is being retarded. but if this is the case would that mean we in california be able to purchase the kit and be carb legal since its in the system as a valid year to have the kit even though greddy says its only for 94 and up? i have been wanting to turbo my car but what has stopped me is the smog part. and i dont want to get pulled over with a turbo installed on my car just to have to pay a $2500 emissions ticket.
what are you guys thoughts?
as you can see i have been on this forum for a while, i dont ask many questions because i do research. i dont know much about the turbo side just because of what i said up above. but if this would work then im going to finish installing all the parts i have to install and start saving up.
why not seriously?
this is from the state of california. hks is also another company that is allowed at 6psi. its there just look under turbo.
here is hks kit

im not kidding here im being serious. this is from california’s air resource board. there are 2 kits that can be installed legally according to them. so if you have trouble smogging there is something to back it up. there is more then just turbos on there.
im seriously considering it. like i said when i went to you place a long time ago smoke that i wanted to turbo but didnt want to deal with the smog crap, everytime i ride in a friends turbo car i want to turbo my car. i love the feeling of boost, maybe its just cause i dont get to drive it everyday.
so what kind of reworking of the piping do i have to do?
oh on a sidenote, i remeber you getting the newer style onepeice headlights, how are they holding up?
u just gotta see it to work with it
think of how a g3 intake is
is that the same as DA?
no
then u gotta rewokr that
then the other side
then the dp might need to be worked
then radiator
then fan
ect
btw good luck with dragnet and having a import lol
greddy turbo kit fits a g2… it is the intercooler kit that wont fit. the greddy turbo kit alone doesn’t come with an intercooler, so it needs no mods, just a diff fuel management system.
for an intercooler it shouldnt be hard to get a g3 kit to work or you could make your own piping way cheaper.
will the kit fit with ac on? and i dont really worry about drag net because i dont go to the illegal street races. and both school and work is not that far from where i live. yes the cops at CSUSM are dicks but they havent messed with me while i have driven by in my car, ive gotten pulled over in a friends car and damn total asses.
but this is great info, im not looking for a monster build just something to get started. im not shooting for over 300hp something like maybe 220hp.
also, i know alot of people in this area if you dont a hook up, they wont even pop a hood and ask for a carb number is they see a big ol intercooler.
lemme try translating this gibberish…
“I know alot of people in this area if you do not know someone that can hook you up; they will not even pop the hood and ask for carb number if they clearly see a front-mount intercooler.”
here mine with the greddy kit for the 94 and up integra. I just modified the charge pipes, notched the front crossmember to fit the downpipe and used a spearco intercooler. Everything is functioning, a/c, powersteering, etc. and its a daily driver too.
you could have run a smaller battery like a buddy club one sideways and just run charge pipe over it i bet. but looks like its working pretty well for you how it is.
