cast or tubular manifold?

Hey, I just got a 93 witha built ls/vtec for boost. I’m not sure if I should get a cast manifold or spend the extra money and get a good tubular manifold. also the turbo i have is a t3 with a .42 .48 ar from what i have been see it looks like this is too small for what i want, I was looking to get 12psi. what turbo would you guys recommend? i’d want some that has some room to grow, maybe up to 15 or so witha new map sensor. I know the block and hold it. maybe a 60 trim t3/t4?
thanks

im a big fan of the full race kits… they’re kinda pricey but well worth it

If you’re not looking to go crazy I would just stick with a cast manifold. If you are looking to do something a little bigger and better later then spend the extra money now if you have it, and go with a full tubular. I had a cast on my setup for a while and it was perfect. ERL makes nice cast manifolds. BTW I have a brand new one for sale if you want.

Chris

each manifold has it’s place. me and my friend both bought ‘bolt on’ kits so we went with cast. but if i was piecing kit together i would prolly go top mount manifold like the spoolin one. just curious, was your plan always to boost your teg? i would have just gone a bit higher compression and kept it na ls/v. turbo is always fun tho, and it sounds cool.

The top mount interests me, I guess the advantages of this would be i could eventully get a rather large turbo to fit, but it looks like i would have to go to a 1/2 size radiator and lose my p/s. but then most ramhorns need that huh?

im pretty sure you can keep power steering… i think you lose AC tho

ramhorns can keep PS. you gotta cut the bracket in half. but thats a positive on the half core radiator.
