Well sense I last posted my opinion on your problem I have had my own ignition problem my distributor went bad on me on the passenger side there is a fuse box in engine bay by your fire wall first check to see if there is power to the fuses and after with ignition turned on make sure fuse is good I think the fuse for your ignition system is a 50 amp if good take off your cap and check for power at your coil there will be I think 2 black wires with stripes on them and the neutral is yellow make sure there is power there I took my coil out and ohm it out with an ohm meter don’t remember what its suppose to ohm out at your going to need a Hanes manual for it axially the book will walk you through a whole check list of things to check a lot better than I can remember off the top of my head so I would recommend getting a manual for your car. You can also try to locate a shop that will check your distributor for you I did this and they told me it was bad but were wrong on the problem so I ended up just getting a new one it was $200 ouch. I think my pick up for the coil went bad not sure if not having my speedometer not working and the lack of a signal from the VSS might have took it out or not we will see if it goes out again. But get a manual and follow the books walk through on ignition trouble shooting it will help out a lot.
damn it’s only been three months??? hahaha. it seem so long ago.
Thanks for everyones who helping me. I have to buy some testing equipment and test all the wires.
okay. so now that i have gotten a test light. I test if there was any power to the starter, and there is!!! Meaning the starter is bad, from what i have researched. Hope to fix it. I’ll let you guys know.
bump. rebuild the starter and i’m sure it works cause i tested the starter on another integra. car still won’t crank. it’s not even attempting to crank. Cluster lights come on, windows work. Clutch interlock wires bypassed. Some fuses are blown. I have to buy new fuses and I’ll get back. Any input?
damn, man
cant believe it still wont start, maybe you should take it to a shop
good luck
thanks man. i want to take it to a shop, but it’ll cost to much for towing. it might get sold this weekend as is
yeah , towing and repair labor would be costly
anyways, i thought it was gonna be a easy fix
yeah me too. so i took my test light and checked my fuses under the driver side. the 7.5 fuse that says starter______ keeps going out even before i turn the key to start. any idea? If there was a short somewhere, would it be maybe the black/whire wire running to the starter?
i just started having the same problem went to crank it, it didnt fire for other reasons plugs were fowled but i went to crank it again right after and it just hummed then i did again and nothing i took out the starter and it was shot but it burned up from something so did anyone get a verdict bc my problems sound identical to this and i know i have a short somewhere maybe the relay or the clutch switch?
did you switch the wires to the starter up on accident ?
