Hey as the title states could I put a T into the vaccum line coming from the top of the manifold and run that to the BOV, or would the fuel pressure regulator line be better, or even drilling a hole in the charge pipe and putting a fitting in. This is my first turbo so any input is appreciated, Also any preferences on which MBC to use?
A lot of the turbo cars i see just use either the fuel pressure regulator or one of the small vacume lines to T-off of. I dont think the charcol canister idea would work, im not sure but i dont think theres any manifold vacume going thru there. I would prolly use the fuel regulator…
I have used both the regulator and the PCV nipple on the Intake manifold.the regulator line didnt do so well and had my BOV surging. if you can give the BOV a dedicated line to itself it will work better. since you will need to get rid of the PCV system anyway, you can use the PCV nipple to feed the BOV. this worked really well for my BOV(BLITZ DD), and it was recommended by my tuner.it hasnt failed me yet.
Go with the PCV nipple.
Thanks for the reply`s. i hate to be so needy but is that the nipple on the top of the manifold that goes to the lower part or the one between the manifold tubes going into the head (under the manifold to the left its like a black elbow also do i plug this i have a catch can… i have included this pic please disregard the grey circle. Should i use the circled line or the one with the arrow(under the manifold)
It goes to the Honda Box on the back of the block! The Honda Box is where the PCV system is contained!
you should be using the green circled one. disconnect that line and the elbow you speak of is the PCV valve. that is what closes off the ventilation when your engine is trying to vent under boost. in a NA configuration the PCV actually works the way it should. but not when air is being forced through it. or trying to.so remove the PCV and you can do 1 of 2 things. get the dormite freeze plug to seal off where the black box is or just remove the PCV and have it vent to the atmosphere. there is a thread on here that gives you the sizes for the dormite plug and instructions on how to do it. just search it.
