don’t use check valves get a chipped ecu it is a little more but will be better in the long run if you just want a quick fix than that is exactly what that is.

Now you’re telling people how to properly tune their cars…Seems different from the other thread. :hmm:

Anyway, definitely research more into chipping and free tuning software.

I talked to you guys and about 3 shops and most shops don’t mess with missing links and check valves because it will still wear down you engine since you are still not getting the A/F ratios exact.

Thanks guys for all your help on the other forum

I just believe it takes a lot to blow an engine because only one of my friends have blown his engine because 60hp shot of NOS through his all stock civic 120,000 mile motor going to the street races every Fri and Sat. and he made about 25 passes until he blew it, but that was when we were young.

Running a check valve doesn’t have anything to do with the A/F ratio, it just to trick the MAP sensor so you don’t get a check engine light. However, this is only necessary if you are tuning with a SAFC or something of that sort and not a full EMS.

Hold on that cannot be rite.I heard here on these forums that a check valve is not required when running a safc, because the safc tricks the map reading to believe there is a lesser amount of air then their actually is…this rite ? will i need a check valve if using a safc??? :gunright:

are you reading about SAFC hack>? if so, theres more to it than just the SAFC.

whats da difference between da safc and da safc hack???i always thought it was the same product :dunno:
