cold side hitting block..Bad?

so yea i have a new log manifold(guessing from ebay cause it sucks and looks cheap) and i traded it for my ssautochrome(which btw worked great while in my possession) cause i wanted to put my a/c back in for the summer. well trying to put the manifold with the turbo on of course did not fit at the start. i had to shave a lot of the block to get it to fit, but still the cold side sits on the block…

Is it bad to leave it like that? Im trying to get this up and running and if its okay to run with it like that, im gonna be makin my downpipe in a couple hrs…

Also, i tried flipping it over so the hot side is on the passenger side, and even when i put it like that, it would most definitely hit my radiator AND my slim fan too

No matter how much i dont want to make a new dp, its a must.

Let me know

Personally I wouldn’t run it touching the block.

its proably putting pressure on your manifold, and will crack… eventually.

i shaved a good bit of mine to make my 35r work with a ssac

oh and im running one of those ebay t3/to4e turbos too…still alive after a yr
turbociv, how much of your block did you shave? i did shave mine down too but im afraid i might be shaving it too much…any pics?

yeaa not sure what i can do…

Is there any exhaust header gaskets that are thicker than others? Would doubling up on an exhaust gasket be bad?

Kinda pissed that i have to go through this all because of damn a/c…i dont even want it anymore…

Me and my dad are putting together the downpipe as we speak…i should be able to fit the a/c compressor in there now but the thought of my cast log manifold cracking scares me…
