Colder Spark Plugs

Okay, I’ve searched, found out what plug to use for he LS etc. is there any difference int aht plug to a B16? Right now. I am using NGK Iridium IX plugs for a 99 Civic SIR(Si is SIR up in the north ;)) which is also the same plugs as the Del Sol Vtec sicne it’s teh same engien idealy. The plug aprt number right now is: BKR6EIX-11 to go one step colder over stock. would I use BKR7EIX-11 Instead?

please let me know. also, what would I be gapping them to or leave them as is.

7 is better for boost…make sure you are gapped at about .032 instead of the stock .044

running at about 7 bucks each from www.ngk.com , about how much do these run for at kragens?

does kragen stock them?

iridiums good for turbo? i thought they were bad for it…

or maybe i got iridium & platinum mixed up…

I forget what was the exact part number. but there are two BK47E’s one of them is gapped at like 40+ while toehr is at 32. I jsut get the one taht is gapped correctly and throwem in and boost and runs great

humm… i got V powers 1 step colder, and re-gapped them to .030

Those NGK BK47E’s whatever are V-Power

I have run v-power 9’s in my b16a @ 11psi. I only had fouling problems when the car was first started. for the first 2 revs, after that it ran perfect. iridium 9’s are bkr9eix(stock# 2669 $6ea.) or you can run v-power 8’s are stock# 4554(like $2ea.).

Do The Plugs For The B16a Fit In The B18b Non Vtec?

yes
