Colorado Springs Uberdata people.....

Is there anybody in the Colorado Springs area that would be willing to help me out with Uberdata. I’m so new to it and have read up on it but am still a little lost. Maybe somebody could sit me down and show me how exactly it works, ie. getting exactly everything I need for my laptop to hook up to my ecu, chipping the PR4, getting my laptop hooked up and what not. I’m very computer saavy but for some reason this is killing some brain cells.

Thanks in advance.

that’s the website you want to get to know!!! go to there forums and they should have everything right there.

edit better yet: here; http://forum.pgmfi.org/

Thanks for the link but, I’ve already been there and am still confused. I really don’t know why I can’t get it. A write-up would be nice. Ya know with a complete parts list and accessories for getting your laptop plugged into your ECU and real time flashing. HINT HINT. Anybody?

here is getting started with ECU chipping. this is not the datalogging stuff but you’ll need this first then you can add datalogging.

just go to www.xenocron.com and under tech you can look at the write-ups or better yet look into crome pro. I hear it’s worth the money and I’ve read the features and tuning looks like a blast. OBD1 also.

So I have been doing a little more reading and from what I understand, You chip the ECU, then you can run your laptop(or desktop) with Crome Pro or Uberdata to burn a base map using a chip burner. But you have to take the chip out every time unless you get an Osterich.

By the way Crome Pro DOES look like it would be worth the money. Nice GUI. So now Crome Pro plus an Osterich and some dyno time and I should be in business.

Also have any of you heard of Neptune? A guy at a shop here said they are a dealer for Neptune and said it is light years beyond Hondata. Can’t say I’ve ever heard of it.

One last question, if I ordered a chipped ecu from phearable.net, would I be able to use Uberdata or Crome to tune? And all I would need would be an Osterich right?

Bare minimum:
Chipped ECU
If you are chipping your ECU you need a chipping kit. (~$15) You also need to be pretty good at soldering.
If you want someone else to chip your ECU it will cost ~$75

MOATES.NET
XENOCRON.COM
256k Chips for ECU
only need one (usually included with a kit) but I’d recommend at least 2 (~$6)

MOATES.NET
XENOCRON.COM
Wideband
If you have a laptop you can use for tuning you can buy al LC-1 (~$200)
If you need a standalone unit you need to get the LM-1 (~$350)

Innovate motorsports
Chip Burner
I’d recommend the BURN1
Thats all the is REQUIRED to get started. If you want to do emulation you can buy an OSTRICH. If you want to do datalogging you can buy a NOKIA CABLE.

And Lastly, if you wanna come down to albuquerque for a weekend, we can help you tune it. If you come down we have an LM-1 and a chip burner.

Chunk: thanks very much man for your reply. That’s basically what I was looking for. As far as coming down to Albuquerque, that would be cool, but I’m about 360 miles away. I’m not worried about my soldering skills at all. I’ve been soldering stuff for years. Thanks very much for the info and thanks for the links. I will be doing some more reading and get this thing figured out.

I appreciate it.

360 mile = 4hrs no biggie. If you change your mind, leeme know. If you were here for the weekend we could knock it out.
