okay I can probably make at least 330 WHP with my 8psi pulley and CRV crank for a total of 11psi @ 8100. Would I be better off to upgrade my valve train and move my revlimit up to 8500 and make ~350HP :Dor:D to upgrade to the 10 psi pulley and maybe hit 350 at 8k.
The 10psi pulley route(14-16psi) will give me more power faster, I already spin tires through 1st after 5krpms and most of 2nd, 3rd hooks pretty damn well. If I don’t get into it until 2nd gear spin is greatly reduced. I might try increaseing the overall diameter of my tires. Blower efficiency isn’t a factor even at 17psi with my blower.
The 8psi pulley route (12-13 psi, higher redline=more psi) I spend more money on valve train, maybe increase power with an ITR exhaust cam. Power doesn’t come any faster just last longer and gets stronger than I currently have. It should be easier to hook with this setup. I figure belt slippage would be the same with increased rpm as it would be with a smaller pulley.
