worm gear clamps… and no, don’t do that. There is a reason all of those power steering high pressure side lines are hardlines… If you put a rubber cap on there, it will blow right through the cap.
so just take like 8 inches of hitemp hose and clamp it on there? sorry to invade this post, but i want to get rid of thoes lines as well.
worm gear clamps
Why not just bend them out of the way like everybody else? Seems like a much easier solution.
something like this?
or am i totally off?
guys that bent there lines, did you do this by hand or with a pipe bender?
You barely have to bend it to get it out of the way. I just pulled it back to where I wanted it and zip-tied it.
i want rid of it tho.
What difficulty is it giving you that you need to get rid of it? Honda put it there for a reason, so why not keep it and just tuck it out of the way?
Bending sounds doable. That way everything should still cool like it should. At first I wanted to remove it because thats the only solution I thought would work. Maybe have it rest on top of the intercooler? Are these lines under pressure at all with the car off?
Awesome thread

i went out and instead of bending it i just disconnected the hoses and turned the cooler upside down and put it right behind the center bar and screwed it right in back through the original hole. then i cut the piping right before it started to bend and bought longer hosing and just connected the hose to the straght ends back to there original spot.

-i cut off the passaner side bracket
-i tool a some vice grips kinda crimped it a bit where the 2 pipes curve and go back into the engine bay
- then pused ot towards the driver side. then gave some love taps with a hammer
u cut em off and put the tube that went on the inlet and put it on the out let. Real easy to do, took like 5 minutes.
a good weight reduction just another peice of honda shit that u dont need.
