Your fabrication skills are TOP Notch! Very innovative!
Thanks guys It has been a long time coming I am trying to make this car not only look good but make it easy to service and most importantly function properly.
so i rarely ever come on this site, let alone post anything… but WOW! this build is freaking amazing!! i will definitely make it a point to follow the rest of this
what obd is your DA? and i noticed you dont have the front bottem traction bar do you not need it or are you putting it back on 2 drive it?
I have a full race traction bar for neater packaging. My car is a 90 but basically everything in it is brand new. I am running a AEM EMS and i will post pics of my mil spec engine harness soon i am almost done the engine part and then wire it to the ecu. Tomorrow i should be done the engine side hopefully…
Nice build man. I’ve also built an H22 Turbo DA (6262) Captiva Pearl Blue. Milspec, tucked bay, booster delete, etc. Lol, & I thought I was the only one!
Post some pics… I would love to see it.
I know of only a few h22 swaps and as far as i know I was pretty much the first on here to do it almost 10 years ago… wow how time flys!!!
Will do as soon as I get back in town. The car is currently stripped & ready for paint & body. CC Twin disk was ordered today. Only thing left to get is the new ID 2000’s. Car will be towed for paint when I get back to TX. Surely not many H series swapped G2’s around. Not boosted & built right.
Well its been a long time!!! but i finally started my car yesterday!!! its on its way now will have progress pics up soon!!!
heres an almost complete engine bay…
So worked all day yesterday till midnight putting the car back together. Finished the wiring and dash is back in, all i need to do is get it running well and assemble the body panels and bumper for now and its drivable!!! still more to finish but it will be driving on the road soon!!!
Glad to see this thread with some updates. I wouldn’t want a hood on that car.
Ok quick question, I have the same traction bar that I bought used from another g2ic member. I didn’t come with instructions, nor did I feel I needed any since it look like a simple install. Looking at your picture, you have the tie rod bracket on the lca bottom. I installed mine on the top (I had to undo the ball joint to make enough room to install the bolts). I’m now wondering if I installed mine incorrectly.
Yours is correct!!! I had to install mine on the bottom to clear my crank pulley. Stock preludes have bent stock bars and ever since i swapped the motor in i had to run them below my lca. Its actually better for my car anyways because you actually want them to be parallel to the ground for them to work properly. When your car is lowered the geometry is out to lunch and in my car it worked out this way anyhow.
The car runs and drives amazingly right now but i have a few snags my clutch is not awesome at the moment and needs to be rebled or something and i found some wear on the cams already and they are stock but with skunk 2 dual valve springs, So i am thinking that there is not enough zinc in the oil for one and maybe too much seat pressure is causing premature wear. Gotta change out some stuff but for now its amazing!!! untuned it pulls like a freight train and cant wait to really tune it and drive it more… I will post pics soon for you guys its been tooooo long but finally its near done… !!! maybe i can make it to some meets now!!!
Thank you for the thorough response, you’re a scholar and a gentlemen BTW, your vehicle/rocket is flat-out mind boggling. Keep up the awesome work. I always check this thread to see what new stuff you have done to your ride.

The one thing I gotta ask is the one thing I think no one else has…
How in the world did you wrap that header up so damn well? Some areas look too tight for even a sheet of cardboard!
But in all seriousness… I’m at a complete loss. I can only just stare…

Haha believe me it was extremely difficult to wrap the header, I had to pry the tubes apart somewhat and fight with it for hours but it was worth it. Thanks for the kind words I should again be driving it soon… still not 100% complete but its good enough to drive right now…
