i currently have a placeracing crossmember bar on my integra, i wanted to know if anyone was using a full race crossmember bar and is there a differnce between the two in size? I need space for a four inch DP. if anyone can help please post thanks alot.
I run the Full race. Looknig down at the engien bay you cannot see it at all. the cross member sits udner the rad support. Not sure how the place racing one sits. but I coudl easily fit 4+" DP’s
If you wanna sell it i’ll buy asap…Than you can get a better on…I need one.

But it still gives me retarded amoutns of room for any DP I wish.
Yeah, it almost makes it worth all of the time and frustration it took for me to install it. I guess it was easier in your case.
I run z10 traction bars. I have plenty of room for my DP. and they are MUCH MUCH beefier than the full race version.
pics of the z10 traction bars please
so do any of these crossmember bars bind at all?
nd which one do you guys prefer to use on a DA, this car will not be driven everyday just on the weekends and some events.
any suggestions that you guys can help me with
Hrm nope my FR doesn’t bind. It really shouldn’t
no binding here. driven on the street for 3 months.
i need to get a cross member form place racing sometime so i can boost one of my g2’s. how are the traction bars working out for you ??
They are great. You do lose some ground clearence tho. Not sure on the other bars but the Full Race hangs down another inch almost…
Place Racing is out of business now so you won’t be able to get it from them. Best bet is to find a store that hass one from leftover stock…
completely eliminated wheel hop on the street, even in the rain. on the track it had very slight wheelhop or maybe it was me not being used to launching. did’nt really help much with traction though, still spinning all of 2nd with 225/50/15’s.
I’ve had a place racing crossmember for almost a year now…I prefer to call it “The Curb Monger”. I would strongly recomend z10 or full race…I believe that both of those crossmembers keep the same ground cleareance. The problem with the place racing unit is that it sticks down too far on the outsides- near the towhooks. If you look at the stock unit, it is fat in the middle, and then thin on the outsides. This is a problem because when turning into a driveway or whatnot, that outside corner of the PlaceRacing unit scrapes like hell. Here’s some pictures:
Click here for pics of the PlaceRacing unit outside of the car
This is where the ground clearence is a major problem. Keep in mind however that the front of the car is over a curb…but trust me it’s still bad. This curb is only about 2.5 inches high.
Not to mention we had to fabricate a way to connect to that front tranny mount…they wanted like another $125 for their part. Get the z10 or full-race. Just my 2cents
I would diffenatly recommend the Z-10 Da X-Member!!!
I have installed several of these trac bars and they are amazing…
We had the chance to do side-by-side comparos and the Z-10 is beefier
The Z-10 uses twin bars between the framerails plus it utilizes BOTH stock crossmember bolt locations. The full-race bars use only 1 bar and 1 stock x-mem bolt hole.
The only advantage I can see by using the full-race bar is a 2-5 pound weight savings…But IMO this is not a place to skimp on the strength!!!
Not trying to advertise but we have a great deal on the Z-10 set-ups (all products)
Give us a call!!
