crower stage 2 turbo cam Q?

I just swapped out my old tired B18A in my DA for a low mileage JDM B18B. My friend now has a set of Stage 2 - Turbo/Super Charger Crower Cams he is willing to sell me for dirt cheap. I’m not turbo now but plan on going turbo in the future so I’m going to be buying them from him as soon as I get the money.

My question is, what will happen if I put these cams (I’ll get springs and retainers also) in a otherwise internally stock B18B?? Only bolts ons I have are DC 4-2-1 header, AEM SRI, Greddy SP2 catback, and a stock TB bored to 62MM. Will I see a increase in power even though I’m still N/A??

I dont wanna go turbo until I have another car for a daily driver. So will putting these Crower stage 2 turbo cams in my N/A B18B be a good way to up the power until I can boost it?? What kinda gains do you think I would see??

you may or may not. you may actually lose power. i dont know tho since the 402 is somehwat of a mild cam. but the turbo model ones are made with higher lift rather than duration. N/A motors need the duration more than the lift

stock cams are really heard to beat. its forced induction. Air is going to get there regardless.

the LS head is really limited when turbo. If i were u i would spend my money and get a pr3 and do an LS-vtec, then u will notice a big difference

I would buy them but do not install until you incorporate the turbo. You stand to gain nothing…

I just picked up some crower stage 2 and am going to be putting them on my car in the next 14 days. I am running a sea foamed 91 with intake, headers and a catback exhaust, with plans of a turbo. Similar situation as you, so, Iwill let you know what power gains I pick up with just the 402t’s. I would imagine 10hp off the bat, especially with tuning, but that’s just a guess.
