Got some energy suspension bushings today…wasn’t expecting them for a few more days…score!
Strut rod bushings ,rear trailing arm ,and shifter .
ordering them was the easy part. Now installation will be harder

It’s not that bad of an install. I did all but the end links on the front and the compensation arm bushings and it took me like 8 hours with no press. It was really easy to do given you have the correct tools and know how. But it was well worth it. Replace all of them and you will see.
I put the whole kit on my crx and was pleased indeed since my original bushings were shot. My stock da bushings are still in pretty good shape considering how old they are. My rear trailing bushings are definitely on their way out.
I missed out on a type-r rear sway bar for sale locally. Come to find out they r still available from the dealer for around the same price the seller wanted anyway. I can get just the bar by itself alot cheaper then with bushings and endlinks and then buy new bushings and upgrade endlinks instead…
I was also looking at the suspension techniques set front and rear but was confused why the front bar is about the same stock size while the rear is way bigger…
Im not planning on autocross, just wanted some improved handling. The type-r rear bar is pretty close in cost to the smaller st green bar but do u guys think it would be overkill?
Been looking for an upper power steering bracket for the vtec head. I thought id take a shot at making my own. Its just some scrap pieces I had laying around . The base is a 1" square tube and the adjuster part is 2" angle iron with a small piece of 1/8" flat steel…
The non vtec bracket only had one bolt hole that lined up so I used it as a guide . The pump adjusts at about a 10 degree angle .
Kudos to you for thinking outside the box. that came out very nicely
Thanx dude, I’m pleased it worked out for me…I really missed the power assist.
Had a vibration under acceleration …two new axles installed and feels good again
Also got my bushings installed
The center pin pretty much ripped out with my hands since it was so worn…then I used the air saw to cit out the metal half moon looking plates …then I had a small propane torch to remove some rubber and finished off with a wire wheel to get clean down to the big metal sleeve
My shifter bushings were worn out on the end where the bitch pin is. Went ahead and installed a 95 Integra shaft. Its a lot thicker than the da one . Only the shifter rod though, the other support shaft seems to be the same size. I used the the teg tips suggestion for removing the pin…super easy!..its got a short shifter which im diggin, but I think id like one with a bend instead. Kinda far away for my reach.
Installed four new nitto tires …195/50/15…if I had the choice again id get 205/50/ 15 since they are just a lil wider and give more contact with the road.
Looks good and i cant believe you got it for $2600 in '01. I bought my last one in '01 and spent $4400 on it. That was normal pricing back then around here.
Yeah it was a great deal at the time. I bought it from the head mechanic at a saturn dealership. He and a coworker had just put new rings and a headgasket on it to sell it. They also painted the front end ( it was black back then), converted the a.c. to r-134. Nothing really wrong with it…all stock…even the radio, dirty interior though…and muffler tips rusted off.
I bought new black carpet and mats shortly after purchase. As time and money allowed I got new seats and black seatbelts.
My buddy used to let me drive his 89 integra and I loved it so I had to get one.
Ive got my adjustable upper control arm bushings maxed out to try and get some decent front tire wear. Unfortunately my caster is barely in spec. When I come out of a turn it feels like I have to turn the steering wheel back to center . Im gonna try and mess with the strut rods and bushings to see if I can get more positive caster. Or maybe even see if i can shift the crossmember a lil more forward.
looks good! im gonna have to steal your idea on the centercaps! and make em original:) keep up the good work
if i did your alignment, front and rear toe would be 0’d out. your rear toe is still out.
Got some more suspension goodies…profane this time instead of energy suspension …pretty much the same stuff as far as I can tell. Looks like I will just go ahead and change out all the bushings eventually as time allows. The original endlink bushings were old and dry yet still seemed rock hard. The new ones however are a larger diameter which fit the recess of the bar a lot better.
Ordered the 19mm st rear sway bar. This thing is heavy compared to the stock bar. The endlink bushings in the kit didn’t fit the holes in the bar so I’m waiting on them to send out some new ones.
Waited a week for them to send out the four endlink bushings and they sent the same ones I already had. They seem to be the correct thickness overall yet the tapered section does not fit the holes in the ends of the bar…just a lil too big. I might just try to file them down slightly since i have an extra set to play with. Im thinking against enlarging the holes in the bar itself so I dont make the holes the wrong size. I could always ditch the stock endlink assemblies and get some with stronger heim joints.
