there was an old member that went by the name G2Racer that not only did the S2k cluster but a write up for it aswell! If I remember correctly, it did take quite a bit of work to get it functioning properly.
I remember seeing the thread in the arcives somewhere but cant seem to find at this moment.
If I remember, it WAS a lot of work though. The speedometer cable, etc. was digital, whole a good portion of the wires were just re-pinned.
IMO, the S2000 cluster always looked like shit in the DA though. Didn’t match the car at all, and the yellow was too bright for my taste. I, however, am an OEM/factory mint look-person-thing, so yeah. I like the circle gauges, but to each their own.

It DID get up and running, speedo and all, but the picss on G2IC are long gone.

I agree, it does look awfull in a DA. It’s nice to have a digital cluster, but I don’t like it. I really like the new cluster in a civic though I think it will look great in a DA. I’ll start on the cluster after I finish my other projects I am working on my car. I modified the Lexus IS300 visors with home link in my integra and it fits perfectly just like factory. I will post the picture once I upload it in my computer.
yeah i think id prefer the circle gauges more then the mention s2k cluster. what do you actually think about the 5th gen prelude gauges? my cousins has a prelude and i think it looks pretty good. i like our clusters but i just wish they were a little bit more modern and our fuel needle wasnt so inaccurate sometimes lol

That, and the cluster of the new Civic, looks sex, IMO. If I was to do a cluster swap, I’d see how to put a new civic SI cluster in it. I think the separate speedo closer to eye level is awesome.
I wonder if anyone’s ever taken the HUD from a Corvette or an early 240sx and modified it to go with our car. I think it’s be pretty awesome.
(240sx)

I was looking into the HUD too last year from a corvette, but it is difficult to do. Corvette windshield have special coating on it to allow the gauges to project onto it. We cannot just use the corvette cluster and put it on our DA without getting their windshield too. They do have after market HUD that comes with a specials film that you place on the inside of your windshield.
To: aznloverz65: Not to be off topic or anything, but is this Thoeun!?
Yeah…who’s this, Steven?
Yes sir! Haha! Didn’t know you were on G2IC. XD
OP - how long did it take you to install the push button and nice job btw!
it’s took me less than 2 hours. The longest time was waiting for a working module from advanced keys.
I noticed you installed the AK knob switch in the OEM key location…do you know if the AK start button can fit in the OEM key location? Or is it too small? I’m guessing it can be done with the removal of the key cylinder. I’m adding this to my list of future things to-do for my DA9.

I havent’ tried installing it there but it would look nice. If you want to install the start button in oem key location you must remove the entire key cylinder. If the hole for the oem key is too small you can always make it bigger. Just remember when you do that it’s not reversible because you will be destroying the steering wheel lock mechanism.
Crooks easily destroy the lock mechanism by yanking really hard on the steering wheel…so it wouldn’t be much of a loss (I had a db1 stolen 2 years ago like this). The key cylinder is held in place by two security bolts that are very easy to remove; so this setup (oem key location) could be easily returned to stock. Thanks for the info, I will attempt to install the button in the stock key location as soon as I have a spare $200.

Instead of cutting your ignition wire connectors to install your push start module. I recommend you go to the junkyard and get another ignition connectors off from another integra. It would be a cleaner setup. Good luck with the build. Show me some picture when you’re done. Let me know if you need any help I will be glad to help you.
Sounds good. The junkyard connector will be a must since I’m not a big fan of butchering the oem harness. I always like having the option of returning to stock whenever possible.
Tks

Can’t wait to see your work. I hope you have experience with electrical you will need it.
BTW, I like this push button mod, I might do it. It’d be fun to wire a device in that would immobile the car remotely.
Push start button mod is awesome I just hate it when I forgot to bring my key fob with me one time and I have no way of arming the car. I’m thinking of getting RFID ( radio frequency identication) card from advanced keys. The RFID card can stay in my wallet.
Teg Tips anyone?
