that guy that owns that DA, is in my other forum Aztegs.com. what I do know is that this guy is a body shop guy, and he did put some work on it. Does it look tight? Yes. is it mucho work? yes. should you try it? If you have the time and some direction of knowing what to do.

haha yeah thanks guys, it was a fun car i do miss it at times but my new car is fun too and now that I have put HID’s in that too it is rockin, just so you guys know my old car the one in the pictures at the begining of the thread is for sale the guy is selling it for $6300 right now.

Here is a little teaser picture of what I had been working on with it. I am in the midst of the body work and getting ready to repaint it as well so dont mind the primer you can see on the hood.
Retrofited it with HID’s, I used the BMW E46 Bi-Xenon projector and shrouds for a nice clean look and so that I can still utilize a low and high beam, haha nothing better to say you are pissed at someone than to flash your brights at them with HID’s :gunleft:

You did all that yourself? Wow! I’ve been thinking about retrofiting a set into a set of one pieces, but i’ve heard that the lenses on them will just make the output extremely blurry and you won’t have a very definite cut-off or color output. Any tips?? (Sorry for whoring the post!!!) me=:loser:
Thanks man, yeah I did the work myself. There are lots of guys on here that have done HID retrofits into there JDM 1-pieces for the DA. It flutes in the lenses blur the line a little bit but not much what it does more so is it just adds a kinda like soft glow around the line but you can still see the cut-off line pretty good. If you do a search I think there are a couple threads on here or on Honda-Tech about guys that retro-fitted their 1-pieces with HID’s most of those guys use the S2K or TSX projectors because they are a 2.5" lense and fit nicely inside the housing, the BMW ones like I am using in my EK are a 3" diameter lense which may be to large for the DA housing.
yeah i’ve found a couple guys on here and quite a few on H-T that have done it. Well i think i just might have to go christmas shopping for some S2K projectors and ballats and what not for myself.

good deal, hey if you are looking for balasts I have two from an Acura 3.5RL in good working order, the small tab things that are use for screws to go through to fasten it to the headlamps are broken off but they work and Im selling the set pretty cheap for like $150. Let me know if you would be interested
