There are only a few things that I would want to do to my car to make it look more ‘modern’. Shaving the ugly black moldings is first on the list. Hit up the roof gutters while I’m at it.
I’m content with the 90/91 front bumper and the rest of the car. USDM headlights can be ugly sometimes so it’s an easy fix to make your own custom one piece (non reflector) HIDs or just swap in JDM 1 pieces.
Why go thru all that trouble when ever other integra (G3) driver wishes they didn’t have bug-eyes.
shaving the side moldings is wat im doin as well, im puttin the 92/93 front bumper, the type r lip, ek skirts, n accord rear lip, but if i can get my hands on the mugen rear bumper id get it, just not sure if i shuld keep it red, that means respray the teg the new honda red, or black, or mayb even that nice new grey that all the new cars have now the sort of dark grey.
but with the headlights. u rekon if u rip those parts out of the type r 1’s n inserted them into the da 1’s it wuld work? seems too much work.
so you want moldings on ur bumpers but not on the sides of the car? that sounds like it will look real good… :uhoh: :bang: :gay:

they dont just “come off” like the sides, for the record. you’ll need to do some molding etc. to make them appear “flush” with the rest of the bumper. i’ve never seen it done, and to be honest, i dont think i want to.
if you plan on shaving the moldings, keep the body lines surrounding the moldings and buy a kaminari front bumper. it will make the front much easier being fiberglass. the sides of the car actually come to somewhat of a point where the molding bodylines are. if you want to shave the whole indentation your best bet would be making a new skin for half of the door. i have seen it done on a crx and tho it was super plain it didn’t look horrible.

yeh i know it needs to be molded to b flush with the rest of the door. its goin to b done proply. by my mates dad which is a panelbeater. i also wana take the black bits off the bumpers as well. but if that will b too hard which i dont think it will b. il just spray over it.
kaminari-usa.com is their page i think. it looks like a stock 92-93 front bumper, but a little taller and with 90-91 style openings under the 92-93 turn signals.
I too am planning on modding the a set of ITR headlights into my DA and was wondering what you did for the wiring harness.
