DA6 Integra project UK

Post your pics in the General G2/G2IC Discussion section… make a thread for your car, like peteTHEpole made for his car here.

cool, you can post it here

ok, got budget sorted for body repairs so in next 2 weeks i need to do wire tuck and brake tuck - i’m on a hunt for 4040 Proportioning Valve for abs delete - can someone tell me where those have been fitted - in UK cars or is someone do not mind to post it to uk - cash waiting  i know DC2 have them - i think. can i use like 2525 Proportioning Valve from my hatch ?! do i need to change my master cylinder to non abs as well ?!
in meantime i though i will post few pics of my super oldschool headunit

have been ‘‘ill’’ for a while  had my ribs bruised for last few weeks, visit in hospital and all this nonsense so could not do much. started on engine bay weeks ago and did not finished yet  will try to do as much as I can but not sure when my guy will be available to do full respray and body repair…

both sides are done and front inside out, need to finish firewall only…

Sucks to hear about your ribs Pete but glad to see your back at it.

thanks mate, getting better every day. i have weekend off from work so will go to the garage and finish engine bay. need to do brakes on my DA5 as well so hopefully all will be sorted this weekend

Always cool to see cars ‘under the knife’ so to speak… And then the finished product, of course!

Are you just re-spraying the bay, or shaving? Sorry if I missed that answer already.

Keep up the good work, and naturally, keep us updated!

i was hoping to do wire/brake tuck to keep it nice and clean but had chat with my mate and decide to paint bay and get car restored like from factory. it has too big spec with abs,air con and climate control to throw that away - especially when those cars are so rare here in UK. she will be restored to original form  my cherry DA5 will be my own project next with B18C or K20 swap - have not decide it yet, need to focus on DA6 at the moment

Had to do some maintenance on my DA5. Worst thing is - I could not source parts  so end up having this problem

my brake pad fall out while driving - found it on road few days later

this is disc after pad went missing

local parts shop was not much help but after 2nd visit they got it right

my baby is gone to the body shop to get this cancer off  270 miles trip one way and i hope 3-4 weeks and she should be back. i will give guy my login details so he can upload the pics and let us know what is happening and i will do the engine side - cleaning and getting ready to put back in

or i could just register and post under my own user name hehe

my pics from drop off (better ones)

i have in right now a mk1 crx i am finished which “should” be done end of this week, very start of next week (rot box from hell)

right after i have craigs mk2 mugen kitted crx in, eta is about 14 days give or take on his.

then onto petes DA teggy, not to bad tbh (go look at the mk1 pics and thats what i class as a “challenge” or rusty) eta again 14 days, possibly less. Never done a DA teggy, no off the shelf panels that are close so its hand fabbed arches which will be the most time consuming.

will update with pics on here when i start. IF you want to see or follow all my work keep up here on facebook https://www.facebook.com/pages/Aaran-Jessop-Restorations-AJR/188786871300286?ref=hl

Cheers, Aaran.

ok thanks  can’t wait

Looking forward to pics of the hand fab.

slowly getting parts together. today i received gasket set for my B16A

and this is on list to must buy - I need those as I can not get stock parts

annnd i finally got to start work on this. last 2 crx’s have been pains in the arse and all run over time scale wise.

huge ass dent beaten back out. going to want some welding up here to

all trim and clips out in 1 bit

the better arch, will be using this to mirror the other side in a moment

made this using the good arch as a template

got it perfect shape after mucho faffing around with the stretcher/shrinker. see how much is missing now lol

clamped that up so time to make the lip to body sections

do that a few times till you get this (bent to suit all this excess gets trimmed off later)

this entire side is made of filler. i mean its everywhere over the entire quarter. had a rust out here (previous damage at some point) so chopped that out and welded in new zinctec steel

anyway back onto the outer arch. time for the super bendy lower radius. this curves with the radius and it also bends inwards to the sill. looks easy but its not!

and fits like so after mucho trial and error

all of it welded up. will do the lower portion once i have done the inners and im working down to the sills

anyway cut loads of that excess steel off the new arch, bent it a bit more to get a nice curve like the oe panel. then marked it onto the body and chopped out the rot

inners look to be nice and simple! only rusty on the lip so i can make up more L section and bend all that tomorrow.

bumper mounts and shizz are untouched by rust so win on that front.

16 hours in and counting now. think i can have this all welded up in6 more days and very close to going into primer

going to de-filler the arch once im alone in the unit so i can get mr.9 inch grinder with strip disk on it and make a dusty mess (will fill my workshop with dust no problems with that running lol)

inner arch time

chopping away

now to make up lots of new shizz

lots of welding later

looking good so far.

damn though that is a lot of rust

its naff all compared to some cars i have done tom. i had a mk1 crx in not to long ago and i spent an entire month welding it! think it was rotten everywhere. all 4 corners of the floor, all rear arches and mounts, all the sills and inner sills (rockers you lot call those for some reason lol) rust was so bad even the front inners were pig shot.

this by a long shot is nothing

woow nice to see it getting in better shape mate  thanks
