I will be there this month… just bad timing on getting a new game system… I went brain dead as soon as I got the Wii-mote in my hand.
The date is set, and I’m hoping to have my other 2nd gen buddies with me (especially the one that keeps saying,“I’ll be there in 20 minutes”) I 'm confident that my car should not be in surgery at this time and I got two more 2nd gens that are interested in coming. Hope everybody will be there to make a big turn out. I want to shoot for at least eight. That would be a Kodak moment! Oh by the way, dude that sold me the obd1 ecu, I need you to get at me about that distributor. I need that!

Hey guys, what’s been going on? Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve posted in here. I haven’t been back in town much lately but I’m on Spring Break right now. I’ll be heading down to somewhere along the Gulf for a few days but I am pretty sure I’ll be back in Arlington by the weekend. I’m hoping I’ll be able to make it out to the meet this Saturday since I’ve been missing out and there’s some catching up to do.
The bad thing is, I won’t be bringing the G2. Tragedy struck while I was in Austin and to make a long story short, I’ve lost a motor. Or at least would need a huge repair job. The car is sitting out at my friend’s ranch and I have since gotten a new car, and it looks like I’m going to keep the G2 and hopefully get a new motor and start from the ground up on it since I’ll have two cars, but that won’t be for a while.
Anyway, hopefully I’ll see y’all on Saturday
Its ok Chi, others have gotten civics in the last few months.

Meet - 8pm
Unrack ~20 servers, switches, routers at work, put in truck, get them to Houston before 5 am. - 11pm
I am sure I will have to mow the lawn, fix the leak in the roof, and repair the fence the 17th too. But hey, its better than sitting around and doing nothing eh.

I might have a chance to put it in the shop for some boost action this week, but if I can get it in there by wednesday, I might be able to get it out on saturday afternoon…I just need DaTegLover to hit me back on that obd1 distributor (HELLO…where are you).:umno:
Hey now!!! The one time I brought the Civic out, I had only had it a few weeks and driven it for ~700 miles… it was a new toy… it is still a new toy now with 2900 on it… I will be out with my DA this time… hopefuilly I can get her cleaned up because she is nasty right now…
BTW… noticed I bumped the time back a little so hopefully we can get some photos with some sort of day light… 1930 folks…
I have to replace my power steering pump on the DA Friday… and maybe get the intake set up on it… so much to do… so little time…
And BigJim had his Civic there the last meet. Though he was selling his.

So that is twice that we have abandoned the DA for a Civic… maybe I should be ashamed for starting a trend such as that…
Saturday’s weather looks great so I will be washing the DA first thing in the morning (and the FA will be getting a bath tomorrow)…

Oh ya, are you replacing it because of it leaking behind the pulley?
Yup leaking behind the pulley… slinging PS fluid all over the place (not that I don’t have enough seeped oil from my oil pan gasket already). I would just rebuild the pump (cheaper) but I just have the time… swapping it is like a 30 minute job at worst.
As for the part, it has been sitting in the car for two weeks now… I even bought all new hoses for the PS pump when I first picked up the car (I knew then that it had a slow leak).
Oh yueah… the oil pan gasket is next on the list to fix (already have the part as well)… but I will be swapping the header out for my Comptech part (RIP Comptech) and will then need to get my cat back welded up properly immediately after that.
Okay, no distributor, means no Hondata, means no boost for me this weekend! I guess me and my DA will have to show up Saturday. I’ll try again next week…:dozing:
Pull the pulley off, took 5 minutes more than removing the pump. If you replace the pump, you spend more money, and have to bleed the PS system, muck around with the fluid cleanup etc.
The only thing that goes bad on that pump is the seal behind the pulley, its like $5 at acura. (unless you seize a bushing, or something hard is sucked into the pump)
I did this in less than 45 minutes, and didnt have to unhook the pump from the hoses.
