Another project (Project: Find The Clunk In The Front Suspension) has come up. This project isn’t even the project I was hinting at in my other post. I would be happy to buy them from you, but I would rather have the cash incase project “FTCITFS” decides to be something expensive. I hate to cut on you like that, but headlights won’t do much good if the frontend falls off.
Put them up for sale, I am sure someone here will want them. I am also sure that I will feel bad for not buying them when I had the chance.
clunks are common for blown shocks/struts… and it would be a good place to start… remember, the Koni yellows can be rebuilt (you don’t have to just buy a new one).
It’s all good man, I’ve had them for like three weeks now so they’re not in a rush to get sold.
This is more of a “unibody moving on the sub-frame” clunk. Hopefully just a loose bolt or 15. I just need time to fix it, and hope that its nothing serious.
I am thinking cross member, but I need it up in the air for me to find out. That won’t happen till Saturday.

hey bro sorry computer is shot so very limited access to site right now but hit me up 817-986-5448.
Clunk is due to the caliper bracket bolts backing off. Have tightened them once, and they are already clunking again less than a week later.
I will be replacing the power booster tomorrow, will see if I can find anything that is making a vibration in the calipers, and go from there.
Replaced the motor mounts, they were shot too. Only a year on them, and already shot.
Replaced with ES inserts. I now have the “Amazing vibrating car”, because of the vacuum leak in the power booster. Hopefully tomorrow’s work will get rid of the vibrations that are causing the clunk, and the idle problems.
Get you some locktite for those bolts… the blue should be good enough and not too much when you need to do a brake job…
I am sure I will put some sort of lock-tite on it eventually, but I want to find out why they are backing off, before just lock-titing them.
