Well, we have the 8th, 15th, and the 22nd for September. I think the 15th would be best but any of those dates would be cool. Anyone have problems with the 15th? I would like to get a big turnout, so if you can do a different date easier, please say so.
On a separate note, Chi, how goes the seats?
Man, someone at the last minute bid really high on the seats, almost $100 more than my last bid which put them in cost of the shops that import them so I had to pass. The search continues though.
As for the meet, I’d be cool with whatever weekend but it depends on if my newly acquired work schedule will allow the time for it. I’m officially a Fry’s Electronics zombie :uhoh:

ATTENTION! This just in: My DA is running again with another transmission, radiator has been replaced with an alluminum unit…and sad to say (and this is totally not my doing), my employer has sent me to work out of town from the 8th thru the 21st of September. That means, once more I have disappointed you guys. Good thing is that my employer is sending me to Atlanta and at the same time, I will be getting paid to attend the NOPI Nationals on the 15th and 16th. I will bring pictures and gifts back for the October meet to butter you guys up. I am sorry once again:angel:

just got done with replacing the lower left balljoint on my car.
found out that they dont put much grease in them. Has to add grease to the new one. I am thinking its the cause of my groaning suspension.
also did a tuneup. Fyi, oreily’s has lifetime cap and rotor’s.

Status report…
How did the meet go this month…Op207? What I read did not look good already. I myself, am still in Atlanta, and things did not turn out the way I expected for this job. The facility that I am assisting is so messed up, I had to work through the entire weekend and miss out on the Nopi Nationals. I’ve been working 12 hour days ever since I got off the airplane…well at least 147 hours on my paycheck next week is going to look nice (that means I have no repair issues for the Integra for some time).:ohyeah:

As for the meet, other than seeing my friend Jerome, which I had not seen in months, it sucked ass. No one showed. I talked with Chi, as he was getting off work, and he had to go home to shower. I called him back (at his request) and told him to not bother, as I was also going to go home.

Monthly news: I will be back in November… maybe in my G2… maybe in my FA5 with my “ratard orange” wheels… we will have to see. I think I have managed to wash my G2 only twice this year… and the clear coat doesn’t look too healthy… but the car is still my beater… although the Civic has become my daily driver. Looking forward to some decent tacos and some visiting with old friends in November!
Don’t wanna sound like a dick or anything, but seriously, I am not holding my breath.(1) The last 6 months, Its been Myself, Chi, and Jerome. Thats it. I would LOVE to see some other people, not that Chi or Jerome are not fun to hang out with, its just not much of a meet with a total of 3 people. (If even they all show up)
I am thinking of starting a “best car gets an oil change” prize, maybe get some of those people that swear they will be there, and then not show up, to actually show up.Or something along those lines. Hell I have some computers in my garage that are just over a year old (to almost 2 years old). Maybe I’ll give those away.

So have you been stopping and talking to folks you see driving the G2s? A new guy (maybe a younger guy) moved in close to me and I am going to go over to his house and talk him up.
Seriously… people like socializing but not everybody goes looking for a specific car club… they cannot come hang out if they do not know we are sitting there.
when i can, yes. Where i frequent, there are not too many G2’s. That and i work from home, so i do not get out much.
i would come but its almost an hour drive from my house and if theres only gonna be a few people there…
For the next meet, I am giving away ~20 of these
Once we are all there, we can decide on how we want to give them away. First person there, person with best car, everyone gets an equal amount, whatever. Maybe offering stuff like this will get a few more people out to the meets.
I don’t drink them, I can’t. Man prone to kidney stones, does not drink stuff like that.
I am considering offering an oil change (fram toughguard filter and 5 quarts of Castrol/Pennzoil oil) at every meet. Maybe we could rotate what gets handed out or something.
