hey all just wanted to stop in and say hey. its been awhile since i totalled my da. ive been driving a loaner altima, but want another honda/acura… pref. something not modded. like a pristine gsr w/ac.
i acutally saw operator on the the road on the way home from work. im diggin the window visors a lot. looking good. ill try n stop in more and maybe make it out to some meets.

Got it fixed though, and as a bonus, I have a smoother idle, does not do the “try to die” when you get to idle from a higher rpm, and has a lot more power. Must be that “more even” distribution of spark.
Where did you see me? On 360? I have seen a few G2’s on 360, but only 1 or 2 were not being driven by a 60 year old. sigh.

Well I bought another da last night. It has a few problems but that’s whayt GOD made duct tape for right? LOL no rreally they should all be pretty easy fixes. It is an auto and man does it feel weird not shifting:auto: but hey the blower fan works:rockon: Ya’ll will see it at the next meet. Hey Wayne you still have any parts left from the one you are parting? I might need some stuff like a pass fender.

I got my car back…
It did fine driving it all the way home from Pantego to Keller. But then I went out a little later in the day and I started having the same problem again. It gave out on me I restarted several times and got it going again.
I went to get something to eat, then as I am leaving the parking lot it quits and it wouldnt run at all. Cranks it didnt get enough spark to run. Anyway replaced the cap and the rotor the shield would go back on. It ran good for about 4 miles and quit again. I noticed the dis. was extremely hot. When I popped the hood and felt it.
So today when we went back to the place that I left it over night it would crank but it just wont fire up and idle.Its acting like its spitting and sputtering and you cant put any load on it or it quits. Like some very bad gas in it. Then I took the cap off to find the rotor destroyed. Then also in that process it seems that the shaft inside of the dis. is just a little bit wobbly I am thinking it has something to do with that, but I get another new rotor and cap and put it all back toghether and still it cranks but not getting enough fire and idle. I have a new coil for it too, I am debating on whether to keep it or return it.
I have noticed that some of the parts are TEC which is the stock stuff that came on the car. So it could be it has never been changed. I have looked around other forums and found out that the 1990-1991 had faulty dis.'s
Does anyone have a dis. they could sell me. Operator207 do you still have the one you are talking about. I could really use a bailout right now. HAHAA

The reclining mechanism broke on my seat, so I do not know what exactly I will need off of it yet… I am pretty sure I will just need some parts off a seat, but I can buy a whole seat off of you if you need me to.

I would suggest get another dist. I’m pretty sure the crank sensor inside it is bad. I wouldn’t spend all new parts on it until you try other dist. to be sure it’s the problem.
