They state they have nitro bosses on the underside of runners… do these look like they are stable to drill/tap for individual ports?
Using the 65mm inlet with a JG 65 mm TB aounds good to me… how is the quality on this TB? Any experience?
I found one for a obd1 LS intake mani… will this work with my obd2 92 GS-R? If not… I can get it and turn it for CHEAP here to anyone who wants it and the COMPLETE intake manifold.
After that, I was looking into some RC injectors for sufficient fuel… is there a better company? Along with a AEM fuel-rail or custom… exeperience here is also needed.
The head I was going to replace with either a Type-R or b16 ported head with Type-R internals (cams, springs, valves…) or would it be worth it to go ahead and inlarge all of the valves and use flat-face valves for higher compression?
I heard some good things about titanium springs/valves/ect. IS IT WORTH IT?
Next to that the header will be a Kamekazi as they have proven to have the best FLOW for forced induction. The cat-back will stay stock OR I coudl use a Type-R? to keep the “stock” look. Good or bad idea?
Ignition is another question I have found little information on… and I know no power house is going to last long without proper tuning and timing. The engine will be advanced to +18 degrees.
Spark plugs/wires… I heard REALLY good things on my friend’s sprayed Type-R with the NGK plugs… not the platinum though… I forget the product # for the cooler running ones.
ECU… I won’t get a pigy-back system if my life counts on it… but the stand-alone units are way up there… What ECU and or program work well for this application? I have contacted a member on this site that seems to be very knowledgable about Honda electronics.
Radiator… stock one seems to be working fine so far… maybe just replace the thermostat with the spoon thermostat for cooling running temps?
The block will remain stock and I plan on reving no higher than 9k on this b17a1.
Head gasket… this will be a daily so I will need something that can handle the low’s, high’s and everything in between. The head will also be shaved .030 mm for a bit more compression, and 93 octane has always been used…
Hmmm… fuel… would I need an new regulator/pump/filter?
I have been searching for days on this information and all I get is more posts asking the same questions and member telling us to use the search button… lol.
Sorry if this is repetative.
