hey g2white, glad to see that you are posting about the dragons run again!!! my friend sloteg told me that you posted up again so i had to check it out. december sounds like the perfect time to make the run… my db1 should be up and running and reliable to make the trip by that time. Oh one more thing theres a driving class and some track time going on in kershaw, nc. in nov. 16th and 17th but to be safe i will double check the dates one more time and post them up, so if you guys want to make it to that then that will be kool.
man i would so love to join you guys on this run but im in Toronto, Ontario…anyone know of there is anything like this up here?
Man im gonna try to get up there this time. I have no excuse with the advance notice. Just as long as nothing goes wrong with the car and we don’t get the once a year snow.

The Dragon is always a blast, even if you are planning on just rolling up as a passenger. I’m planning on going on the run. Hopefully it won’t conflict with any other holiday plans that are being made for me without my knowledge.
I would love to go, but I have a feeling that I will have holiday plans with it being the weekend before Christmas… 
I went with the RX7 club before, will we be getting TOTD orientation from officers and such?
well, if you can convince someone to let you go for a little bit, you are more than welcome to show up!
I’m not sure what a TOTD orientation is, but I dont think we will be talking to officers unless they pull us over… The Dragon is a US highway, not a “course” or anything, so we are not supposed to be doing anything dangerous and occasionally you will see cops up there. honestly the only reason go there is to have fun though… We will drive across sorta slow the first time to see if there are any cops, then we can go faster after that if people want to.
Oh trust me you WILL want those officers taking you down the first few times. They give you an orientation to Tail of the Dragon (TOTD) and its hazardous spots and are very nice and helpful. I do not think we should even be down there as a group without having those officers there, it just wouldn’t be safe. Plus if we let them know we are doing this then we will have the officers blessing when being there so we don’t get hassled.
So whomever is orienting this whole trip I HIGHLY suggest you get up with the Officers and officials up there, because without them having a foresight of us it may turn into a very bad trip very quickly.
