dsm injectors

Iv done quite a bit of reading on this install but am still kinda unclear…Do the factory honda injector clips just clip right on to the dsm 450cc blue tops?
In the pictures on HMT it didnt really show…Or do I have to buy dsm clips and wire them up to the harness on my car?
any help is appreciated

the clips will not directly fit u need to cut the ridge in the middle of the injector out use a long razor blade then u will be able to use them

I didn’t have to cut any ridge out, they clipped right in.

are you obd-0 or obd-1? i am obd-1 and had to do this, my injector clips would not go on until i took that ridge off

My car is OBD-1 and the clips fit on the DSM injectors. I’ve had them off and on a few times without having to do anything special.

seeing as my car is OBD-0, that means that I dont need to add a resistor box to my setup to get the injectors to work right… Correct me if im wrong…

how bout boring out new injector seals? anyone heard of this?
I am running a 97 LS manifold soo not sure but the seals may be different…

yeah youre supposed to, but its a bitch and it makes a serious mess. i always just set the injectors in the rail, get everything lined up, and just go back and forth tightening down the fuel rail into the manifold, the injectors will squeeze themselves into the manifold and seal up nice. doesnt hurt putting a tiny little bit of grease in the injector seals so they slide in there all nice!

I bored mine out slightly with a dremel to make it a little easier, and then did the method that was mentioned above. Just be sure not to bore them too much or they won’t seal and you’ll have crazy idle problems. I did that the first time and I had a crazy fluctuating. It makes things easier if you just bore them out and bit, and then squeeze them in.

injectors are pretty much universal between mitsu’s and hondas, i want a set of Starion injectors (11 stock psi!!!)

yea the secondary injector on one of those flows 1050 cc’s stock but they shit out pretty early and leak
and a injector doesnt regulate PSI, this is either regulated by the FPR or the fuel pump on returnless systems…and dude no need to call him an idiot he might just not have known
