ok I finally did the obd0 to obd1 conversion with a crome basemap for 240cc injectors. do I still need the missing link on my map sensor :hmm:
I took it to the dyno and all he could get was 221hp out of it, he said the stock injectors were going lean at 6k. he did the tuning with my safc cause his chip burner was down. so anyway when i got back i put some dsm’s in and street tuned it with my fpr (19psi fuel) and safc like -24 hi throttle, -35 lo throttle. i feel a HUGE difference!
I wanted to know if i tuned the ecu for 450’s how much power do you think i would make now? I’m running 10 lbs boost now but how much can you run on a stock LS bottom end, has 4k miles on it? also the cam gears are exhaust advanced 3 degree’s and intake retarded 3 degrees. is that right :hmm:
ok .42 .48 trim turbo
log manifold
2.5 ic piping 2.5 downpipe
front mount ic
greddy bov
skunk2 intake mani
skunk2 cam gears
crower stg2 cams
crower dual springs
crower retainers
8lbs fidanza flywheel
b&m fpr
XS fuel rail
DSM injectors
walbro 255 fuel pump
there’s more but you get it!
The english language is askign for reparations. SLow DoWn!
Anyways, How many miles on the block? Good health? Get bigger injectors and you can get plenty more power out of it, I would think that turbo is good to at least 250-300?
-edit–
Wow just read your post, yes you badly need a retune, runnign a map for 240’s on 450’s is the same as using 240’s. Tune the bish! Grab a bin somehweres.
I can get you in touch with my Tunner Guy…He Tuned my Teg and Dynoed her at tha same time in Bonita Fl.(South of Frt Myers)…My motor is BONE STOCK inside with 131,000 miles on her. I am running 210 WHP at 8lbs. with 450cc’z at 71% with CROME…255 In Tank WalboroPump…It is all in Tunning…My Tuner guy states that with a Digital Boost Controler and a Fuel Pressure Regulator I can can get like 270 WHP at like 12lbs., with some re-tunning…But not safe for DAILY driving at that amount of lbs…I drve my Teg daily so I like her feel at 8lbs…But in the future I will do what my tuner guy says…He knows his shiii…LMK if you would like him to tune her for ya…
Hmmm…Not sure on that one…I’m sure you will find one from this site…Or, If you need my Tuner guy to help you…Let me know…He can do the chipping of your ECU for cheap…Then you can tune it your self…
get some bigger injectors 450’s wouldnt be bad, get a map sensor to handle more boost a gm 3 bar or soemthin similar and turn the boost up more and get a retune. i’ve seen stock ls’s at 15psi holding strong for a while now. u can make more power. at least run 12psi, i run 12 psi on my slightly modded jdm gsr, of course i got arp head studs and a thicker headgasket that lowers compression to 10.3 to 1 but thats still alot higher than urs, so ya take my word, u’ll be happy. bye the way im selling my customized turbo kit, complete with everything but engine management for $1,600 if u know anyone who wants to make some good power.
Your afc hack is not safe @10psi. @10psi you need some timing taken out. With the hack running you have MORE timing. Run crome and the 450’s. all stock b-series handle ~300whp SAFELY! after ~300whp, the only thing that breaks are the ringlands. a stock b-series with only aftermaket pistons is safe to ~350+whp. damn misinformation floating all over this forum! what happened here? a couple of months ago there was good info on here…
your best bet is to get your ecu chipped and tuned with hondata or crome(way cheaper)… forget about that missing link stuff… ask on here or H-T for reputable tuning shops around your area…
i’d ditch the safc as well if u get the ecu chipped and tuned with hondata or crome.
