they offer a waranty, but its still up to you to install it correctly… and of course you notice they are the basic components, you still should get a desent bov, ic and fmu. if you want more information about the average rpm spool rate of their compresser is, why dont you ask them, they seem to know a bit about their turbo system.
i have been thinking about buying the same kit; i’m not looking for a fast/drag turbo system, just something for a daily driver…

from what I know “ssautochrome” isn’t exactly the top of the heap when it comes to turbo products…I’ve heard and seen that you have to brace and reinforce their manifolds like crazy just to prevent minor stress cracks. price is attractive, but I’d save up for something else…you could probably find BETTER quality used components for the same price if not a tad more and have some peace of mind

those manifolds are crap. my wife’s 12-year-old brother does better welds than that. not to mention the collector design…it’s basically a big pipe that they weld 4 smaller pipes (the runners) into…there’s no merge design to it at all, so there’s stagnation points everywhere inside the collector.

i won’t even get into the rest of the auction’s misleading crap for “features”.

oooops, I bought a ssautochrome turbo manifold. I guess I just wasted my money, huh? Well, when I recieve it I will TIG weld some additional bracing to it. Maybe now is a good time to get a Inline Pro cast manifold?? Anyone here actually using a SSAutochrome mani?? I couln’t resist the price. I only paid $190 for it… :uhoh:

that’s a rip-off even if you did get it for $190. I bought mine for $110 and I got pissed off cuz it sucked ass. You can try to weld some bracings to it, but there is no way that you can prevent the cracks from occurring. The cracks on mine are … how should i say this. It cracks from the weld lines, and on the pipe itself so basically you can’t do anything. You can get a log style manifold custom made for your car.

Go to honda-tech.com and PM a guy named project dc2. He makes good manifolds and downpipe for a cheap price too. I had him make one for me cuz my gay ass manifold cracked a few days after i installed the turbo.

here’s his products.

dont worry im here to serve the G2ic community as well now.

their turbos arent bad. They dont last as long as a new garrett but what does it matter since mostly everyone buys used. I know plenty of people runnin em with no problems. U just need to talk care of em. As for manifolds, they = suck. nuff said.
