I have a 92 LS Teg and I am looking into buying a turbo kit and I spotted one on ebay but I am a Turbo newb just want to know if any of you could tell me if this is just a cheap turbo kit or is it worth getting it?

why do none of those pictures of the installed kits even remotely model the display picture?
looks to me like someone just piecing together a kit from ebay parts, something you can do yourself for probably cheaper.
Man this topic has been beaten to death so many times it’s ridiculous. In fact, I think there is a thread right at the top of this forum about cheap eBay turbo kits.
I once was a fool who bought a manifold/downpipe off eBay because it was “SO CHEAP”! I thought, how could I go wrong? Well, with the manifold I got, the turbo would not fit, not even close, the downpipe would have hung down way too low, and all of the flanges on the manifold were horribly warped and it cost me another $100 to get them milled flat. Plus, I had to run a tap through all the threads to get a bolt to go through without fighting it. I did all that work and ended up just selling the damn things before they caused me further headaches. There is just no way around it, when it comes to turbo parts, you get what you pay for.
I can definitely understand the temptation though, all that stuff for that price? It’s ridiculous. Even after my mistake, that kit temps me to throw something like that on my dd civic… I wouldn’t do it without it being summer so I can always have the teg for backup when the “made in china” parts fail.

u’ll find with more research and experience that 500 is just a drop in the bucket of a solid and well running turbo setup
ching chong meow turbo kit… just go to the junkyard and get a dsm turbo manifold and look for a 14b then get a ebay intercooler kit there… done cheaper then that p.o.s ching chong meow turbo kit that will crack in less then a month and the turbo wont crack it will break in half.
