Can you please let me know when you make new sets. Save me one, contact me marskos at yahoo.com or give me your mail. Thanks
Glynn, did you notice a difference in steering? I was just curious. Thanks for posting pictures of the install. Much appreciated.
tacvbo: I will send you an e-mail, but it will be a little bit before I make a new batch. Work and home life are pretty busy at the moment. I will start a new post when it’s time and have another “sign up sheet” if you will. But I will be sure you name is on it.
I don’t think he drives it enough

Perfect I will be on the look for that post and hoping to see my name on the list, thanks alot man
The steering deffinatly feels nice and tight, but I havent driven the car to much since I installed the inserts. So I havent realy noticed a huge difference and I most likely wont untill i take the car somewhere with some nice long twists and turns in the road
I swapped out everything, install went perfect!! There is only one question that i have. I have a little bit of play in the steering wheel, is that because I need to tighten up the rack nut or does the B joint in the steering column have to be replaced? I am using an Si rack. Is this the same problem that you had Guru?
If it fells realy loose at highway speeds then you most likely just need to tighten up the adjustment nut on the back side of the rack. this is assuming that you are running all new tierods(inner and outer)
BTW, I have my first open track day next friday. ill be sure to post up results of how the steering felt the day after:up:
In For Results!!!
it will move while the car is at a stand still
Yeah, even when tight I though the Si rack wasn’t as responsive as the HF rack. I think it’s because of it’s progressive ratio vs. the fixed of the HF. But as Glynn had stated. Make sure your tie rod inners and outers are new, and try tightening up the rack adjustment a bit. I’m glad the bushing kit worked out for you though. Nice to know the parts are installing without problems.
results!!!
I managed to pick up an HF rack for 40 at half price day at one of the pick and pull yards. When I get some extra money gonna tear it down and rebuild it, and end up getting a quaife quick steer kit for it.
Please let me know if you decide to make more bushings.
I forgot about this:)
At the track the steering was spot on, the car went were I pointed it with no play or loose fellng from the steering wheel once so ever. I couldnt be any more happier with it, even with a quaife steering kit at this point:up:

So are you using the EF rack?? whats that quaife steering kit??
quaife makes a quick steering kit for ef non si racks. the si racks have better ratio in them that hf std and dx do not. best thing to do is find a ef si if you cant you can buy the quaife kit.
Add me to list too please.
Def in for a set whenver they are available again. Nice work btw!
yes, its the EF rack w/o the quife kit
