92 blue teg heres with the type R front lip
so for yours you cut yours short to where the front mud flaps mount. I was getting the impression that some fit INTO the mudflaps but I tried that today and it doesn’t seam to work well.
I wanted to eliminate the gap from the sideskirt and mudflap. I think this is pretty straightforward but it would really help to see some closeups of the front part since there are different ways of doing that part.
it looks like you cut it too short, no real way to fix that other that hacking up another pair…
That wasn’t mine, I am trying to get a better idea how to mold the front to match the front mudflaps nicely.
so is this hard to do and if i buy a set do i just cut some and mount
my install pics
ok,
wanted to get some opinions on my test fit. I grabbed a few items to line up the sideskirt (including some childrens books). I finished painting the skirts white, but the color looks a little off to me. I might be being picky, let me know what you think. Maybe a coat of clearcoat might do the trick.
An attempt at Photoshop on this one with a few things that I want to do after the isntall (ok the shaved handles is sort of a pipe dream).
Wow yours look perfect! How long did it take you to cut one side to fit? I like!
the guy I bought them from already cut them initially, but I spent alot of time cleaning these suckers up using a file tool and alot of test fitting. I finally cut the ends and little by little shaped them to mold up to the mud-guards (instead of having to modify the mud-gaurds, etc). I wanted to keep them compatible with the guards, but without a noticable gap. Honestly, this project has taken alot of time, but all a little at a time. Sort of a weekend when I have time project. Need to finalize painting and then install these suckers.
…after u fit them either u buy clamps or someshit i couldnt wait so i jus drilled them in
Question for people that didn’t use a end cap, how well is the sideskirt being held in the front? Can you please describe where you drilled for the front reinforcement or show a pic? Would be extremely helpful, thanks.
my old DA with EK skirts… pics are in threads around here somewhere but ill just post them again…
for those that are wondering… they are being held up by 2 screws in the rear… and the rest are from underneath…
sweet! That will make things very easy for me!
i don’t mind the ek skirts ,but i don’t think they go well with bigger front lips
for my DA i plan on useing the same skirts as i did for my crx
the skirts are from a 1998 chevy malibu cut down to fit then i made a cap for the end that screws into the factory holes on front fenders
like you’ll notice that the bigger front lips have a bit of a rounded look which i think would look better on the car if you had a rounded skirts to go with .
i dunno just my opinon ,nice cars guys
when mounting the ek sideskirts it bolts up under the car and under the fender right? or did you have to make new holes?
opps nevermind mr integra said it already.
^^ i was wondering what rear lip is that?
Looks likes a 94-97 Honda Accord lip…
yup its the lip off the accords.
anyone know about putting stock 4 door 90-93 accord side skirts on a db1? I found alot of info on the 94-97 but none on the previous generation.
