engine check light = hack job or not tuned right. not tryin to bash on you but its true. im runnin turbo jdm gsr with vtec and turbo on crome pro. no check engine light and perfect running. im not only running vtec on a non vtec car but also boost. double trouble and completely trouble free. i’d check ur tune.
So I know I am going to get the DSM 450cc injectors and the Walbro 255lph fuel pump but what electronics will I need
If I go with a chipped OBD0 by xenocron will I have to get a BTM or any other electronics
or
If I go with using SAFC or VAFC will I need any extra electronics, like a BTM for the ignition
I looked at my ECU today and I have engine code 1 and 13 which is the oxygen content and the Barometric pressure
Your best choice will be to go with a chipped ecu for TurboEdit from Xenocron. You do not need a BTM or anything else. If you want to tune it yourself you need a Wideband O2 Sensor like Innovative, etc and a chip burner like Willem or Moates. If you’re not going to tune it yourself just grab the chipped ecu, datalogging cable and I believe that would be all you needed.
I would not recommend the SAFC or VAFC because you won’t have the tuning capabilities you do using a rom editor. It will end up being pretty much half tuned. You could get by with it, but for the same price or probably cheaper, you could go with a rom editor.
