Exhaust Review: Tsudo N-1

im lowered 2.5 in and have the tsudo and it does hang low but with a good stiff suspension setup you should be fine… it does hit something every once in a while though:rockon:

i got this cat back 2 years ago. then the only complaint i had was it didnt go one straight. now a couple weeks ago the last hanger b4 the tips breaks off now it bounces and has a hole the size of a quarter in it. sounded good till now. cant wait to get an HKS hi-power

bringin it back… anyone else have a tsudo?? im close to hackin out the muffler and welding in a skinnyer one… i got the california rake goin on… haha

hey man i got the tsudo crap and i like the sound
you kinda get what you pay for
i would not recommend this exhaust to anyone without welding experience
i had to cut almost all of the flanges off and reweld them on the correct angles and how it was hung it was way too close to the road so all the hangers had to be redone

but i ended up cutting up the trunkpan and spare tire well and making it competely flat inside the trunk
and then i cut and raised up the muffler about two and a half inches so its no lower than the bottom of the car
its not too practical tho
but i do have plenty of ground clearance back there now
i can post some pics if you want but i am sure you understand

hmmm i was thinking of cutting out my spare tire well too and putting the muffler up higher. post some pics please.

i will if i get home early enough tonight cause i am tryin to go to the track tonight , i would do it right now but photobucket is blocked on my work computer
i will definately get pics up this weekend tho

sweet. what did you do for the floor, piece of sheet metal welded with some braces and then use some seem sealer?

you got it i work at a collision center so i get all the new structural adhesive and shit for free woooo hoooo!
i could have just glued it in this shit is so tough but i decided to spot weld it in about every inch or so and then seam seal it inside and out

i was scared for my cars life when i first cut it out and was standing in the trunk area like WTF did i just do
but i am alright with welding and stuff and its not a show car its just gotta work and i had already bought the exhaust
i wish i took some pics along the way but i didnt have a good camera then

definately brace it up because that is a big space to fill and you still want to have some strength back there
the sheet metal i used was from a dc integra hood
i figured my car would like it to get donor parts from a newer model
and its what i had laying around

exhaust tone of the N-1

Hey I currently have the DC Sports Noise Complaint. OMG I hate it, I want a decently priced exhaust with a deep tone and quiet. Anyone know of a URL or anything that shows a vid of the N-1 on a DA? Let me know. Thanks! Kristen

you can just look it up on youtube. as far as my exhaust goes… the front is slammed and the ass is high up… like really far… im not into the whole cutting in the trunk kinda bit, only because i dont have a good welder… i need a 220 line =(… when i get a warm day im cutting out the muffler and welding up a flowmaster muffler only, then re-welding the pipes back on it.

but will this cat back hold up to winter?

this is my second winter and mine has held up thus far, but remember you will be hitting alot of ice/snow with the muffler hanging low, when winter is over with its nice to get under your car with some steel wool and clean the exhaust up to a nice shine

lol yea man ill second that… its made of stainless steel but it could use a good cleanup once in awhile… this is my third winter… i mean if the snow is too deep obviously dont drive haha… but yea man… just like a regular exhaust… sounds nice and its a good price. also it is perfect for an all motor or a low boosted setup… it’s 2.5" tubing all the way back and 2.5" - 3" is ideal for turbo…
bringin it back… anyone else have a tsudo?? im close to hackin out the muffler and welding in a skinnyer one… i got the california rake goin on… haha
Yup yup. Got same exact one. The whole setup fit perfectly shape-wise, but my stock catalytic converter was 2.25 inches short. So i took a strool down to Meineke and they manufactured the flange-pipe-flange extension that was exactly 2.25 inches long for $35. Went on perfectly from there.

Hanging a wee bit crooked (got to bend the hook a lil’ ):

nice man it looks good… the only thing i have to complain about for mine is how it doesnt hang right… it hangs VERY low to the ground form the cat to the axle… im thinkin the hangers need to be heated up with a torch and manipulated so it hangs how its supposed to… ill be using this same exhaust for my turbo build, just no cat… if anyone has this exhaust with a turbo, please let me know how it works.

sound clip and video

whats up fellas… i took some sound clips and video of the exhaust…

i have the tsudo exhaust, its pretty nice, downside is that it hangs a bit too low, otherwise is just fine by me, i will get pictures up soon, didn’t do any modifications at all, just plugged n play!

I was sick of it looking all riced out with that big shiny tip and muffler so I crawled under there and painted my whole axle back flat black about 6 months ago and it looks 312482358 x’s better and the paint is holding up too.

ooo that sounds like a good idea… u got any pics of it all black i wanna see. i love the exhaust, but like someone said be4 u need welding experience, mine was about 2.5’’ to short. i had to cut it and add 2.5’’ worth of piping, after that everything fit perfectly. it hangs low as hell but i can deal with it. the sound is exactly what i wanted tho, when u hit around 4k u dont get that gay ass buzz sound, i recommend this exhaust if u dont wanna spend $500+ and if u dont want too much of that ricey sound.
