Ive been lookin at all types of turbo kits deciding if I wanna buy a full kit or piece it together myself. What do I have to worry about as far as fitment inssues wit my Da. I gotta 90 4door. Im keep it b18a1. I was lookin at pics on some sites about installation. On some I see people have to grind the block down for turbo clearance or downpipe clearance. If they use an internal wastegate it gets in the way and doesnt work out. Also the radiator was a main concern. I searched around couldnt find much on it. I really didnt wanna change the radiator and go with a half size. I was wondering if anyone could let me know what issues Ill run into whats good to get manifold wise to have less issues concerning the wastegate and turbo. I already taken out the A/c so I Im not worried about that. I still have p/s although its not a must for me I can take it out if necessary. Maybe someone can post up some pics of their Da or maybe email them to me so I can see what kinda setups people got. Im lookin to spend about 1300 on parts… then like whatever added on for fuel, tuning and such. My email is h3r3tic@optonline.net if u wanna send some pics of ur ride so I can see how it all works. thanks
u probably will need a civic halfsize rad, but other than that it is cake.
lol grind the block down?
yea, ha get a del sol dual core fuck the civic single core…
No do not grind the block…
Also are you able to twist the turbo? I see that some turbos the intercooler piping comes from on top and others come from the bottom. Does it have to stay the way the turbo comes or am I able to switch it to were i would want the Ic pipes to start?
the term you are looking for when you say “twist the turbo” is called clocking the turbo. yes, you should be able to clock the housings of the turbo. also, with my set up, i had to grind down alittle bit of the webbing on the block for the turbo to fit. i have a Precision SC32 turbo with the “E” compressor housing with a Rev Hard manifold. i was also able to retain AC, PS, original windshield resevoir and a stock radiator. you might need to use a slim fan or notch the shroud of the stock radiator fan for everything to clear as well.
just make sure that when u clock the turbo the oil return line is sitting either straight up and down or towards the oil pan for good flow and cuts down on oil coking
Anymore pics… how hard is it to clock the turbo…? You gota unbolt things or just like twist it… idk Im new to this. sry to sound noobish
is the radiator from a 2000 SI a dual core radiator??? im sure im gonna need a HALF rad and this kid is selling me this one. if its not a dual core im not buying it so pleaseeee ppl let me know
bump for my question>>>>
i have a 97 civic radiator, i guess it is a single core and it works fine, it keeps my motor just as cool as full size, but it is all aluminum constructed, not the normal alloy.

so you just have the revhard manifold, not the whole kit, right?
so you just have the revhard manifold, not the whole kit, right?
that is correct.
wow, was that a 2" DP in the first pic?
2.5" I got a 3" being fabbed now…
by me sooo it may take a while i work slow on my own car…
2 inch hahaha the turbo would rather explode
