fmic placement

is there ne reason not to locate the front mount intercooler, in place of the ac condensor, instead of hack at the bumper support?
i dont see why the fmic could work well there, thats what i plan on doing as soon as my turbo manifold arrives…

the intercooler is big, the AC condensor is small and behind the hood latch support and in front of the radiator…you couldn’t fit the intercooler between the radiator and support…

just hack the bumper, saves weight

well i think i can fit it in there, might take out hood latch support if need be…
so is there ne advantages to doin it the hack up the bumper support way, besides the mentioned wait savings?

advantage: Not having your hood fly up @ 60mph

also doing it the way everyone else does it, cutting the bumper support, gives you an easy mounting point for the intercooler…the hood latch support…doing it the way your thinking of would be tough, you’re going to have to fab some kind of supports…

I was able to fit an XS Engineering I.C. after cutting the bumper support. Albeit, there was a lot of cutting involved. I took close to an hour to cut. I was able to fit a 24"x10.75"3" core behind the bumper support and I still have a decent amount of the support left.

SURVEY SAYS - WELL WORTH IT!!!

yeah well im just wondering will putting the intercooler under bumper support, vs. ac condensor place, function any differently?
