:bigread:
well if you read my first post in this thread it states that i have searched and didnt find a strait up answer and its not hard to say “yes they will hold up” or “no they wont hold up” holy crap!!!
oh and one other thing, im trying to determine if the forged aluminium is ok instead of me geting the forged steel/cromoly type pistons… and that post didnt tell me a strait answer either!!!
well what brand pistons are these? I’ll be running cp forged pistons (which by the way uses 2618 alloy) check them out on the web. www.cppistons.com
they have proven themselves every time they run down the 1/4 mile. that chick ran a “civic” drag car into the 9-10 seconds last year. i can’t remember all the details but i’ll post if i find it. look it up on the web.
ps: “forged” is nothing to question on strength. u could melt any stock piston or even the cp’s when u don’t tune right!
research is ur best friend :read:
there u go. cp pistons. oh my bad it’s 7 seconds in the 1/4mile

You’d probably get more info. on H-T. that question is too vague on here. I know I found somewhere on H-T where they had the piston company type metal that is used and sicone content and other information.
