FPR and Bigger Fuel Pump?

Whats good people. I have a question instead of rebuilding I was thinking of buyin a jdm low milage B18B to swap or even a b16 full swap. But heres the thing as far as fuel management I have a guy in town who know his honda s#@!. Now in the case of the B18B he said he ran his at 10 psi for years on end with just a Vortech FPR and a Walboro 255, and a missing link, and stock injectors. Now does this sound safe or was he just lucky. Cause after considering B16,ls/vtec, B20, B18c1_5, and H22. The turbo will make the most power and I have about $3000 to spend on a engine and kit. I can get a turbonetics kit with everything but the FPR and Inline pump for $1800 shipped so Ill have about 1200 for engine and clutch. Let me know what you think peeps. Oh on more thing is I need bigger injectors lets say DSM 440’s for my max of 10psi could I tune them on a S-AFC. Thanx

if your going to buy a nice turbo kit like that i wouldnt run it off a ghetto setup like fpr,fuel pump and missing link, and def not off a safc…if you can spend 1800 on the kit protect and also buy a new motor spend alittle extra to protect your investment with a standalone…thats just my opinion

i agree dont go safc…you can get a hondata S200 (what i use) for about $250. Its a great investment and works like a champ. Clutch wise: I use the XTD stage 3 6 puck clutch off ebay…$140 and grabs like no other. I’m turbo’d at 10 PSI and a 50 shot of nitrous. About 350whp and no slipping in the clutch whatso ever. Running on about 6 months now and its a daily driver.

Crome is better then Hondata… I think even xenocron will agree. Not to mention its free.

maybe im not as knolagable (sp?) as i thought. whats a missing link?

Missing link allows usually is a check valve that doesnt allow the map sensor to see positive pressure.

a missing link for a dc will not work on a DA will it?

so for my turbo setup can i just run a series of check valves before the map? and this is just for about a month until i get it tuned.

try a basemap before the tune and set up a tune for emediately after you install the turbo
