fuel management with out bigger injectors

I know a bunch of people will respond and say thats a bad idea, but is there any type of fuel management that I could use to turbo a stock b18 that would not force me to upgrade my injecters Im talking about lowest possible boost 5-6 psi. Als o does anyone have any suggestion as to what size turbo would fit these needs best? I have an auto trans and feel that any higher boosting than this will significantly shorten my trans life. Any and all thoughts please.

not to be as ass but 5psi is a joke. to help u out just get the missing link and an fmu for 5 to 7 psi and AFC hack on the kit ur getting. or buy a revhard, drag, turbonetics or a TSI kit from www.turbokits.com. u might lose ur ac on a few of those kits and they r lowboost kits but can be upgraded.

i think an auto trans can hold up to 225whp thats just a guess

If you search around enough, you can find DSM 450cc injectors for less than $50, why not just do things closer to the right way for that small of an extra cost?

if you worry about breaking shit you wont have any fun. you’re real problem will prolly be tuning it since it’s auto, you may want to ask some1 like xenocron about it. use a smaller turbo with higher boost, rather than a bigger turbo with low(5-6psi) boost.

Right now i am running about 4 psi on my stock injectors and Crome tuned with room to go a little higher

I have the fuel pressure upped considerable though…

The reason I ask this is not duue to the cost of injectors, but gas prices skyrocketing. xenocron do have an auto? If so how does that work out. Either way how does 4 psi feel, worth it?

fast and not paying alot for gas…hm choose one

no matter how you get the fuel to the motor, it is going to be the same amount of fuel. you can go high fuel psi, smaller injectors…or stock fuel psi, larger injectors.

xeno: wtf are you talkin bout. not the g2 i hope? what happend to the 300hp on dsm injectors? im confused.

i believe part of why he is only at 4psi is because he decided to test how well the stock injectors can hold up. I guess he can only answer that for sure though.

Well, that and I got a good sale on the DSM injectors…and I tried running through inspection on the stockers. But motor was a little tempermental that day and i didnt get enough time in tuning the idle and low load stuff.

I only failed the NOx though

And no, its not an Auto…but feels decent at 4 psi. 15psi is sure a lot nicer.

660 injectors go in sometime soon (when I can find the time)

Maybe I’ll see how well 18psi holds on a stock block

what type of injectors are they? i was going to buy rc550’s but i heard the spray pattern is garbage. how much hp u think u can squeeze out of this motor?

Why are you deciding on a psi without knowing your turbo!? Grrr… 10 psi on turbo A will not produce the same power as 10 psi on turbo B…givin A and B are different turbos. Also psi doesn’t hurt motors, power does. So running more psi on a smaller turbo won’t hurt the motor as far as power really but you will have higher IAT’s

But, he only wants to run like 5-6 psi on his AUTO. Running a bigger turbo at that low of a boost level puts it out of its efficiency range. He would be much happier running a small turbo (T25 for example) instead of a T3/T4 or something along those lines.

bad tuning hurts motors foo.

Well I didn’t mean to make it sound like that’s the only thing that hurts motors. I was saying that because most people initially think something like “if I keep the boost pressure down then I shouldn’t blow it up”

They are the Tuner Toys Injectors.

I have a few sets of 450s/550s if you want any.

what type? im runnin gsr motor with greddy turbo, i want to see how much hp i can get out of it.

I have a couple high or low impedence 450s and low impedence 550s only…

=( i got a g3 now, and i’m not adding an impedance box. i got rc370’s for now to get the car going. i’ll need something bigger once i get it going.
