im in the process of boosting my b18a w/ t3/t4 turbo, 450cc, boosting at most 8psi.
will i need a higher flow rate fuel pump? or can i do with the stock one?
thanks

its certainly a good idea
yeah i agree it really cant hurt its a good safety measure for $100
im sure you have heard this before but going the cheap ass way on fuel control and delivery parts is what kills motors. but yea $100 can save you a rebuild.
didn’t say anything about being cheap and all, jsut wanted to know if it was necessary for my setup.
i’ll go ahead and upgrade the fuel pump.
seems like everyone’s using walbro 225 fuel pump… is that the better way to go?
thanks for the reply
Chris… Are those pumps you have the HP oens or standard?
I think they rate closer to the standard.
BTW…I really never understood the difference in having a HP or standard pump…when you control the actual fuel pressure in your rail via a FPR.
Saying that a 255 lph pump comes in standard pressure or high pressure, is like saying that 13 psi is 13psi when comparing a small turbo to a large turbo.
Both versions of the Walbro flow 255 lph…I dunno, maybe its too late to be thinking
the stock pump is good to about 350 whp…but say that old pump is getting over worked and craps out when ur boosting then ur motor is toast
if ur boosting buy the 255lph high pressure pump. be aware that you do need a REAL fuel pressure regulator not the B&M reg. they dont do so good with too much pressure. try this site www.lightningmotorsports.com i bought a 190lph from them and its awsome only complaint is they are a lil loud but good to let people around you know your not just looking the part in ur stock teggy lmfao
